Thank you coach Gibbs. You are the reason I became a fan in the 80s and the reason I will forever be a Washington Redskins fan. Through the good and the bad, we've stuck this thing out together. I'm so proud to say that I'm a Redskins fan.

Sir, you personify integrity, character, and leadership. A very rare combination in today's world of professional sports. l also wanted to thank you for drafting Sean Taylor and the way you handled his untimely passing. It was great having such a shining star wear burgundy and gold during his career. Like yourself, Sean will forever be a Redskin. Thanks.

Mr. Gibbs, you leave behind with your legacy intact, but more importantly a team of great guys that will never, ever forget the impression you left on their collective lives. Thanks for everything you've done for this great city of Washington D.C. Mayor Fenty should figure out a way to do something very nice to honour you.
