On to the jersey in question. Yes the jersey itself would be considered an authentic retail item. Detracting from its authenticity would be the obvious use of vinyl numbers, not screened numbers which were present until 2001.
I have a Russell Theismann jersey with screened numbers and one can definitely tell the difference. The numbers on the Williams are far too thin.
To many, I may be over doing the "authentic" thing. But that depends on your definition of authentic. To me, that is replicating exactly what the players wear on the field, and the Williams jersey isn't it. |
