Maybe he should have said "attempted murder", but I'm sure he is sure he murdered someone. Not a far stretch.
Anywho...here is a timeline of pacman's poor behavior:
Since being taken with the sixth overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft, Adam "Pacman" Jones has not been able to stay out of legal trouble.
April 2005 – Mr. Jones' name appears on a police report after a fight at an Atlanta strip club breaks out, but the woman involved does not pursue the case.
June 2005 –Two of Mr. Jones' friends would not leave their room at a Nashville, Tenn., hotel after checkout time, prompting police to arrive. Marijuana is found on a table, but Mr. Jones' friends take full responsibility for the drugs.
July 2005 –Mr. Jones is arrested on two counts of misdemeanor assault and a felony count of vandalism after an incident at a Nashville nightclub, but charges are later dismissed.
February 2006 –Mr. Jones is arrested in Fayetteville, Ga., and charged with possession of marijuana. Police add felony counts of obstruction and two misdemeanors of obstructing police after throwing a punch at an officer. The drug charge is dismissed in January 2007. He received three years' probation for the other charges.
March 2006 –A drug task force team serves a search warrant at the home Mr. Jones bought for his mother. An investigator notices Mr. Jones' car smells of marijuana, and Mr. Jones admits that he had been smoking.
April 2006 –A vehicle registered to Mr. Jones is involved in drug trafficking. Mr. Jones had repurchased the car at an auction. Three days later, Mr. Jones is at the scene of a gunshot altercation outside a Nashville gas station.
August 2006 –Mr. Jones is charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside Sweetwater Saloon in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Charges were later dismissed.
October 2006 –After being accused of spitting in the face of a woman at a Nashville nightclub, Mr. Jones is cited on a misdemeanor assault charge. The charge is later dismissed.
February 2007 –Las Vegas police allege Mr. Jones started a melee inside a club when he threw cash on a stage. Three people are wounded by gunshots, and one is paralyzed. Mr. Jones pleads guilty to misdemeanor charges in return for testimony about the shootings.
January –A woman seeks an arrest warrant against Mr. Jones after an incident at an Atlanta strip club, but she later withdraws the petition. Mr. Jones loses permission to work out at the Titans' facility.
April –A report surfaces that Mr. Jones paid $15,000 in "extortion" money to Arvin Kenti Edwards, who was charged with attempted murder for shootings stemming from an altercation outside a Las Vegas strip club where Mr. Jones was present.
