What are we asking when we say "face of the franchise" Is it the person who we want to represent the team, is it who the most well known person is? There is a difference. On the one hand, a fan (average or not) might associate Chad Johnson with the Bengals, but the Bengals themselves and their fans might say "No, Carson Palmer is the face of this franchise. He represents who we truly are"
