Coach Williams got too much loyalty to coach Gibbs and the rest of redskin organization to leave us this year especially when we are about to start something big.

You guys, money talks. GW is a ego maniac and will leave IF its a good situaltion. Only way I see him staying here is if Joe has made some sort of behind the scenes agreement that next year he will walk away and GW will take over. He is not going to sit around, especially with up to 5 teams looking for coaches. There are some good possibilities out there for GW. St louis and Kansas City are really good spots. His stock is way too high right now to now concider taking another job. Good thing for Washington is though, he is making what alot of head coaches are making right now. So unless somebody offers a crap load of money, its not going to be a big raise for him to leave.

You may be surprised when GW goes...........nowhere. While I agree, there is little loyalty in todays sports world, that is not universally true!

I can't remember a season with so many coaches getting the sack! Pity it increases the odds of Williams going. :(
Williams has said he'd like to be a head coach again "in the right situation".

What team has the right situation now?

Minnesota? The franchise quarterback tore every ligament in his knee and is under indictment.

Houston? While Reggie Bush is tempting, I think Gregg knows the value of an offensive line - and this team doesn't have one. (Plus, I don't think he wants to inherit a team that runs a base 3-4).

Green Bay? Whose playing QB?

Oakland? He isn't that desperate.

New Orleans? Tom Benson wouldn't inspire me to get out of bed, much less put forth any effort at it.

St. Louis? Maybe...

Kansas City? That defense might be beyond fixing.

Why not get paid more than any coordinator in the history of the league, and wait for the job you know you want?

For some reason I'm actually more worried about Blache leaving. The guy deserves to at least get some interviews, and with the Rooney Rule in place my guess is that teams will interview him (though I really hope they don't treat him as some sort of token interview). And since he really hasn't had a coaching opportunity yet he may be more likely to take a chance on a team like Houston.

By the way, I wonder if it ever bothers him that nearly everyone in the media incorrectly refers to Gregg Williams as the defensive coordinator, and not Blache.

All I can say is, I want Martz as our O-cooridinator, and that could very well happen if a head coaching job doesn't open happen for him, he comes from the Don Coryell school of offense which is where Gibbs learned his craft, if Gibbs is willing to move someone aside that would have the biggest impact of any off-season move in the NFL for next season, the guy is an offensive genious!

May the football gods preserve us from Mike Martz, the guy is a fruitcake.

I would hate to ANY of our defensive staff leave. Hopefully, players and fans can convince them to stay.

Yea I do not want him atleast, plus he does not fit into Gibbs style of offense. God I still hope somehow we can get GW to stay, and convince him that when Gibbs is gone, this team will be his, but I lose a bit of hope each day.:(
