Is it just me or does it seem like we didn't run a lot of offensive plays to begin with? I mean Mark only passed 15 times. Seattle's defense is far worse than Tampa's.
Anyone else nervous?TheMalcolmConnection 01-09-2006, 08:16 AM Is it just me or does it seem like we didn't run a lot of offensive plays to begin with? I mean Mark only passed 15 times. Summo 01-09-2006, 08:18 AM Was it pissing anyone off besides me yesterday during the Panther/Giants game when Troy Aikman kept saying that the Panthers are built to win on the road? By saying that he was implying that they have a great defense and can run the ball. Isn’t that what we do? I was screaming at the TV what about us Mother ****er?!?! LBrown43 01-09-2006, 08:47 AM No matter who the Skins play it will be a challenge, and on the road. But the Skins have already beaten Seattle once, they can do it again. Besides look who Seattle has played, they are in the worst division in football and got to play Arizona, SF, and St. Louis twice each. They got beaten soundly in Jacksonville. And look at their wins. They squeaked past mediocre Atlanta at home 21-18. Got past St. Louis 37-31. Barely beat Dallas at home 13-10. Barely got past the woeful Niners 27-25. Barely beat the Giants at home 24-21. Barely beat the terrible Titans 28-24. Seattle is definitlely beatable. Exactly. We have as good of a chance as anyone else in the NFC. We will need offense though, but I really think the offense will be tweaked and Joe and the staff will have them ready for Saturday. gibbs4life 01-09-2006, 09:50 AM Relax, just be thankful we are where we are at. One game at a time. Seattle will be tough, but i think we are now a "playoff" team. a playoff team that will only get better from here on out. the seahawks will be tough but i think we can play withem or anybody else for hat matter.tampa is in the reaview mirror i,m lookin ahead to those birds now. RunRunPass 01-09-2006, 10:11 AM i think we match up much better against seattle then we do against tampa. Its gonna be a good offensive show from us. irish 01-09-2006, 10:14 AM Was it pissing anyone off besides me yesterday during the Panther/Giants game when Troy Aikman kept saying that the Panthers are built to win on the road? Why would Aikman talk about the redskins during a NY/Car game? Southpaw 01-09-2006, 10:30 AM I'm nervous. I was nervous last week too. Mainly because of Brunell. Since his knee has been hurt, he's basically returned to the Mark Brunell of last year. Portis' health is a concern too. He's been dinged up all season, but it appears that it's starting to take a toll on him now. With that said, I've always felt that the Seakawks were a soft team. They're definitely not as good as their record. The defense will keep Washington in the game, but if the offense can't swing more than three points, it'll be a painful game to watch. MTK 01-09-2006, 10:39 AM I didn't think Brunell's knee was an issue against TB. He seemed to move around pretty good, TB's D really locked us down more than anything. 12thMan 01-09-2006, 10:49 AM I think for us to come up with only 120 yds in offense and still win on the road says a lot about this team. I mean, the Giants basically had the same offensive output and got stomped by the Panthers. I think we'll do very good against Seattle. Schneed10 01-09-2006, 10:49 AM None of this talk! There can be no content feelings! Everyone including fans must realize that the future is now. None of this "We're just happy to be here" type stuff. I agree this season has been great but I will agonize for months if we lose. I will not be happy. A wise man once said: "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing" If you don't allow yourself to enjoy a good season from the team when it has one, I think you just end up making yourself miserable. I want the Skins to win this Seattle game more than anything, but if they lose I will applaud them as they walk off the field. They've given me a lot of great moments to remember this year. You can't come away from every season with a championship, but you can take away memories from every season. No matter what happens this weekend, I'm going to always remember the 14-13 win over Dallas, sweeping the Eagles, the 35 point trouncing of the Cowboys and Giants, the 6 game win streak in December and January, Portis' press conference costumes, and the birth of a classic nickname, Captain Chaos. I'm very happy with the team this year, no matter what happens in Seattle. I just hope they make me even happier with another win. |
