I have a lot of respect for John Clayton. He is one of the most objective columnists and knows what he is talking about.

I agree.

Salisbury on the other hand.......

this is what i wrote to sean...lol

All i want to say is Sean i can't for the life of me understand why you downed the Redskins like you did this past year. You said they shouldn't have made it to the playoffs and that we wasn't a playoff team. Well you dont win 6 in a row by just pure luck. Lady Luck didn't show up at Fedex field or at the away games during the run they had. Really bothers me and the rest of the redskin fans, especially us at http://www.thewarpath.net (http://www.thewarpath.net) that you down our Redskins like that. For a guy that was a BACKUP QB and not a good one i might add you have alot of nerve talking about a team that made it to the playoffs and did pretty good i might add considering no one but us diehards knew we could compete with the best of teams in the league. For one to say we didn't deserve to make the playoffs look below Sean there is your regular season stats and playoff stats. Not good at all, matter of fact those stats are horrible. Lost all four playoff games Sean and the one i cherish the most is when the Redskins beat you back in '92. 6 for 20, 113 yards with 2 ints. 24-7 Redskins. So for you to sit in your seat each week and criticize other teams i think you stunk it up that day and your whole career. Hell you're even backup to John Clayton Sean. Have a good day :)1987 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1987.htm) ind (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/clt1987.htm) | 2 | 8 12 66.7 68 5.7 0 2 | 0 0 0 || 1992 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1992.htm) min (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/min1992.htm) | 10 | 97 175 55.4 1203 6.9 5 2 | 11 0 0 || 1993 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1993.htm) min (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/min1993.htm) | 11 | 115 195 59.0 1413 7.2 9 6 | 10 -1 0 || 1994 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1994.htm) min (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/min1994.htm) | 1 | 16 34 47.1 156 4.6 0 1 | 3 2 0 || 1996 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1996.htm) sdg (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sdg1996.htm) | 16 (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/games/SaliSe00.htm#1996) | 82 161 50.9 984 6.1 5 8 | 6 14 0 |+----------+-----+---------------------------------------+-----------------+| TOTAL | 40 | 318 577 55.1 3824 6.6 19 19 | 30 15 0 |+----------+-----+---------------------------------------+-----------------+Sean Salisbury never finished in the top 10 in any major category (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/misc/leaderindex.htm).

I dont think I am. I cant see a correlation between his stats and his comments about the skins. What does one have to do with the other?

I assume you are implying that because he did not put up big numbers he cant comment good or bad about a team. That does not make sense to me. I was wondering if you could post your pro stats so that we could evaluate the legitimacy of any comments you make. Thanks.

As a matter of fact, in 1993 he was an "impressive" 6-20 with two interceptions in a 24-7 wild card loss to the.....Redskins.

I was thinking Brad Johnson, but I guess you're right! Salisbury didn't play too long did he?
