I like the direction this is heading. I was convinced, despite our struggles on offense, that we didn't need an offensive coordinator. However, I feel really good about having a guy like Saunders come into the fold. Gibbs is doing what he does best - organization! I haven't had this much confidence in this team in years!

The Skins are definitley building a more different coaching organization than anything I have ever seen in my 25+ years of following the NFL. Most assistant coaches move thru the ranks and improve on their skills in order to someday become a head coach and have their own organization. What Gibbs and Snyder are doing with the money they are paying these guys is basically giving Saunders and Williams headcoaching money to be assistants. And Synder is paying the people under Saunders and Williams so much more money than they could make as assistants somewhere else. It will truely be a powerful coaching staff in terms of knowledge and experience. We will only have to wait and see if it will translate into a further push into the playoffs. The players still have to make plays and execute. But they should easily be the most prepared team in the NFL each week next year. If it works, it could really change the way owners do their hiring, if they want to keep up with the Deep Pocket Owners like Synder.

Next year, GW and Al will be re -titled Deputy/Assistant/Associate Head Coaches. We will have 14 Assistant Head Coaches - one for each position and two to carry the Deputy/Assistant/Associate Head Coaches water; 17 Offensive/Defensive Coordinators (INSERT POSITION OF SPECIALIZATION); 23 Quality Control Coaches (for each side Offense & Defense); and Danny Smith.

I think they should keep Gibbs on as Team President in Perpetuity. Just Like Bob Jones at Augusta National.

everything is perfect rite now. gibbs contract goes 3 more seasons, and gregg williams just signed a 3 year contract which brings him rite 2 the end of gibbs coaching days. i think it wud be fitting if gregg williams then stepped in as head coach (b/c he defently deserves it either in washington or for another organization). by that point, if gibbs isnt to preoccupied with nascar, he wud b a perfect choice for GM.

There have been a few times during his carrer that he did not call all the plays. In the early 80's Dan Henning handled some of the play calling. And this year some of the play calling was turned over to Jack Burns & Don Breaux. Just because Joe is not calling all the plays does not mean that his stamp wont be all over it. The offense that Saunders is bringing over from KC is very much like the one that the Redskins set an NFL record 541 points with. I think you will see a lot of the same type plays we ran that year with probably some updated blocking schemes.

This wouldn't surprise me at all...I think he would love to stay with US like Levy is now doing in Buffalo...but we would have to figure out who our Offensive Cord. will be??? I believe this will be a one year and done for Al....leaving for the RIGHT Head coaching spot after next year.

I believe Dan Snyder's money talks. Saunders could have been a head coach THIS year.
