i thought they all sounded awful. AF was the only one that was halfway decent.
The problem with the motown thing is a lot of the really really popular original artist are either ancient or dead now.Gladis Night would have been great show. I'm not sure if she was a Motown person but she is from that time period and she is still a great singer and performer.

Why not Stevie Wonder himself? He goes with the over the hill theme that the NFL has taken because of the Janet Jackson incident.

Whoever was working the board for the Stones should be flogged. Everything was off, which is pretty inexcusable for a 10 minute set.
I agree with the anthem - there are things you can do to "personalize" it without trashing the whole song.

I would say it was about 50/50 both the sound and the Stones sounded rough. Another thing I noticed is that the sound for TV sounded like it was coming from microphones and not a direct feed from the board and that can realy screw with the sound.

I'm talking about timing, not the initial mix. They forgot to turn up Ron Wood's guitar for his solo until about 5-10 seconds into it. Jaggar's mike was all over the place, although, you're right, it's hard to tell whether that was the board or just Mick forgetting to use the mike.

Sound was terrible, performance was weak--though that could have been a result of the sound. But whatever: this is the biggest sporting event. Take some friggin time to make it all work!!! Pathetic. Bring back the boob!
(I don't know if this is the worst ever--lots of them suck. But it was up there...)

The anthem was playing and I to listen for a while to figure out if this was some kind of joke or maybe I had the wrong channel on. It was just the worst thing I had ever hear.If anyone has a link to it I would love for my wife to hear it she did not believe me that it was that bad.
