I am by far a Redskins fan, why would you question it. I am also a LaVar fan, as are a ton of Redskin fans. I am a Steven Davis fan too! what differense does it make? Because I like the guy and hope he does well. I would never root for him to beat the Skins if that is what you are getting at. The skins come first.

I questioned it because you made it sound like you wanted to see Lavar do well against us. As a fan, I don't think theres anything wrong with liking players, but to say that you hope they do well against your team makes it seem like you would rather see him do well (rather than hoping your team succeeds without him).

I must of misunderstood you, but I see where you're coming from. I have nothing against Lavar (actually he's one of my favorite players) and I hope he does well, but when he plays against us, I hope we run all over him and beat the shit out of his team.

You guys are all aruging over stupid stuff. There is no blame to be put on LaVar, heck we are luck that he even stayed with us this season. If any of you all have been to training camp, you know that LaVar is the first one there to sign autographs, and the last one leaving. No not Portis, Taylor, or Springs, all those guys stay far away from us fans. It was LaVar, leave the man alone. If he wants to play for a NFC East team so be it, I wish him the best of luck. You can't compare LaVar to other players like Trotter, bc Trotter did not have nearly the effect LaVar did on the organization. It is the coaching and onwership that took LaVar out of DC, not him. I am sick and tired of fans bad mouthing LaVar, after all he has done for us. It is easy to complain, instead of really understanding his situation. His stay as a Redskin was constantly surrounded by drama, and eventually it takes a toll. Other Redskin greats like Art Monk and Brian Mitchell played the rest of the careers for other NFC East teams and they are still loved, so why we look at this in the same way. Give LaVar the respect he deserves.

I dont know if its a good thing for you, but I am totally on board with you. I always get bashed for my "man crush" on LaVar. So get ready for some trash talking.

I believe this is another "forest for the trees" moment.

Many of you are arguing details when it seems the consensus is that everyone wishes LaVar well and hopes that he doesn't play for Dallas and hopes he doesn't do well when he plays us. Wouldn't that about sum it up?

My whole argument is that LAVAR was my favorite player in the NFL. I loved to see him in the game and when he's in the game anything can happen. I was in denial when all of the rumors were floating around saying that the skins would get rid of him or he would leave the skins, in the back of my mind I truly thought (or was just hoping) that something would get worked out. Well it didn't and i was crushed when I saw that he left. I was so pissed with the Skins, but I told myself that I would continue to root for Lavar. The problem is when I saw that he wants to stay in the NFC EAST I consider it a slap in the face to the fans that he said he loved so much. If he's in the East I will continuously root against him, if he is outside of the East I will root for him. Yes, I wish he was still hear, I just pray Taylor doesn't go to jail, so we will still have him as a play maker.

Just remember LaVar made it very clear he wanted to come back to FedEx because he loved it and the fans. NOT to take it to the Redskins (which he undoubtedly would want to do, even if it was a non-NFC East team).

I haven't bad mouthed Lavar at all. If anything I've been quiet about the whole issue. I was just asking #56fanatic a question. I wasn't trying to be dick or anything.

I do wish Lavar well, and I hope he succeeds with his new team.

I hope he does go to the Eagles or Gints, because Saunders will be able to scheme like crazy to take advantage of him being out of position. The guy's not a smart football player, we're better off without him.

You're correct, and had the Redskins listened to Ray Rhodes when he initially described LaVar they would not have given him that huge contract. He's just another player in the league now and we shouldn't really concern ourselves with where he goes or who he plays with. It's time for us to turn our attention to the players we have, who is going to be here and be Redskins. I personally am a fan of the team and not any one player. We have spent too much time already gloryfying a player who no longer needs gloryfication. LaVar is a DONE DEAL, I'm sure all his individual fans wish him the best of luck because he's going to need it.
