Antonio Pierce Press Conf.CRT3 03-21-2006, 12:28 AM http://media.putfile.com/Pierce-conf STPainmaker 03-21-2006, 02:18 AM Would someone please paraphrase the contents of this audio. I am too impatient to listen to it. #56fanatic 03-21-2006, 08:11 AM Basically they kept asking Antonio about LaVar and where or if he thought he would come to NY. Asked about him freelancing, about the rif with some coaches. He said LaVar loves NY and this could be a destination, but not really sure. About the freelancing, he said he didn't really do that, he was athletic that he tried to make plays, sometimes he made them, but when he got injured he couldn't make them like he was used to. He did say he saw him recently and he has dropped 15 or so lbs and looks like hes back to his original playing weight. (like I said would happen) He said you only really hear one side of the story on things like that, not to believe every thing you hear. PWNED 03-21-2006, 08:23 AM whether or not you drop to your playing weight is irrelevant. you have to play up to your old potential. #56fanatic 03-21-2006, 08:27 AM whether or not you drop to your playing weight is irrelevant. you have to play up to your old potential. My point is this will bring back the quickness he lost with the weight gain, plus the explosive ness roaming the field. It is relevant when you are coming off a couple of surgeries and have gained weight. Any player that is over weight does not play to the maximum level of their ability. Hog1 03-21-2006, 08:35 AM I just have a question for the fan-atics on the board. Do any of you believe that Joe, GW, or........Al puts petty ego games above team? If so, why? PWNED 03-21-2006, 08:37 AM well obviously joe did becasue he completely turned over all control to another o-coordinator. dont know al, but it seems like GW just keeps his in check (even though its obvious he has one) because he'll bench people that piss him off not just because they are the stars. Hog1 03-21-2006, 08:43 AM so your sayng Joe has an ego problem and turned over control of the O to Al for that reason? -don't understand that? GW has a monster ego, and he practices benching anyone who piss's him off? What's the deal with being a star? #56fanatic 03-21-2006, 08:58 AM Where did all this turn bad? Somebody wanted to know what the radio show said and I gave a very brief interpretation. I dont know where all this turned into ego battling coaches. If Joe had an ego, would he completely turn over the team to AL and GW, I dont think so. Joe will do anything, bring anyone aboard to win. this was a interview w/ Pierce about LaVar playing for the G-men, how the hell does it turn into what you people are bitching about. PWNED 03-21-2006, 09:00 AM so your sayng Joe has an ego problem and turned over control of the O to Al for that reason? -don't understand that? GW has a monster ego, and he practices benching anyone who piss's him off? What's the deal with being a star? sorry i misunderstand. i meant that joe does NOT have a huge ego, he just has pride and does what it takes to win. GW DOES have a huge ego but he is also a team first guy in the fact that if you don't do what you're supposed to do, you get benched, ala Harris/Arrington. |
