wolfeskins 03-26-2006, 07:40 PM STEELERS | REQUEST SUPERBOWL OFFICIATING CREW.
What A. Thief of the Pittsburgh Gazzet is reporting that the Steelers organization has summitted a formal request asking the league if the officiating crew from this past superbowl could be used to officiate every steelers game this coming season.
When asked why the team would make such a request, Steelers coach Bill Cowher, said "are you an idiot? did you not see our superbowl victory? with that crew officiating all our games, we should easily go undefieted."
That Guy 03-26-2006, 10:04 PM or just maybe we could possibly leave this thread on topic and avoid trolling?
KLHJ2 03-26-2006, 11:11 PM We are too much worried abour the what if and not focused enough on the what is. It doesnt matter how much they change the rules, we are still going to watch the game. Officiating has always been bad and yet we still watch the game. New rules come into effect every year, and we still watch the game. Calls do not go our way, and we still watch the game. Our beloved Skins were a losing team for over a decade, and we still watched the game. So let those bastards in those owners meetings try to improve the NFL, because thats what they get paid for. Damn it, I will be watching the game!

That Guy 03-27-2006, 01:13 PM NFL | Owners to discuss Los Angeles again
Mon, 27 Mar 2006 05:53:46 -0800
David Elfin, of the Washington Times, reports another topic of discussion at the NFL owners' meeting this week will be the placement of a team is Los Angeles. "Moving forward on Los Angeles is a key priority, because the economic foundations that enable us to look at that type of a challenge and to address it are in place with TV in place and labor in place," commissioner Paul Tagliabue said. Tagliabue continues to meet with prospective ownership groups, whose team would play at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (the former home of the Raiders), the Rose Bowl in Pasadena or at Angel Stadium (the former home of the Rams) in Anaheim.
MonkFan4Life 03-27-2006, 01:28 PM what about the broncos game last year...
Oh how that game pissed me off. Just like the Bucs debacle but I understand that there will be mistakes made. Hell I can find EVERY holding, pass interference, horse collar, fumble, or any call that may have been missed by a ref after I get to see it again on t.v. I know that no matter what I will watch the games but I know, excuse me, I feel that there are some fishy things that go on. I don't know if it's me but since The Danny has gotten here I feel there is some sort of vendetta against the Redskins. Not just from the media but the league as well. A lot of calls go aginst the Skins that wouldn't for another team. Then again maybe I feel that way because I am a Redskins fan, who knows ? The point is that there will always be calls that someone misses, and there will be some that I see that really weren't there. I just don't like to see my team F'd over, plain and simple.
Redskins vs Panthers '03 I think- Steven Davis' fumble I mean touchdown
Anyone remember that crap ? Anyhoo, take it easy folks !
HAIL !!!!

the calling of a tuck in the broncos game was absolutely correct. Its a retarded rule, but they called it as its written in the books. Lots of teams have lots of calls go against them. you only remember the calls againsts your team and forget the one that helped them. Seattle had plenty of complaints about refs too ;) unless they're perfect, no one's happy... and even that won't please everyone.
