do you know how he acts? besides ignoring people outright, and refusing to sign anything (even for kids etc) unless you give him money, while he was on the team, no one was allowed to mention ANY kind of charity by a redskin team member unless green's charities got an equal amount of play time in the same segment.

Ask some of the other people that have met him in off the field, most come away with a pretty bitter taste.

I just remembered your story of trying to get him to do a story or to get an autograph from him and him being a total bung hole...

Another time Darrell Green was in our studio and one of my co-workers came in to the studio with his 6-year old grandson and asked Green if he would sign his grandson's football. Darrell said "No, what's in it for me?" So I was there and said "the satisfaction of making a young kid happy" And he actually said "that's not good enough"

It always sucks to meet your hero and find out they're human.

I have never met DG, so I didnt know that...wow that is pretty low.

Anyhow, back to the matter at hand, did anyone watch NFL Total Access last night? They do this thing called something like "My First Draft" or something like that, well tonight they had on A. Cromartie and he mentioned that he like to trash talk and he said "Unlike Fred Smoot I can back it up!!" He seems pretty confident and I would like to see the skins get him, but not if it means giving up our #1 for next year to do it...

That guy... Where do you see Manny Lawson being taken at? I am sure we are not going to get him but I am interested to see how good he will be with out "Super" Mario with him...

HIGH.. maybe late 1st (20-32), early 2nd... his hype is really up, but honestly, he IS a 6-6 guy that runs a 4.4 at 245lbs with a 40" vert. He'd be best suited to be a DE/OLB in a 3-4 (ie, the browns). If he were in a 4-3 like we run, he'd be amazing in the situational pass rusher role (what chris clemons did before he got hurt). As a normal 4-3 OLB he'd be alright, but it really isn't the best fit.

all 3 of those guys are going in the first 2 rounds (mccargo, mario, manny) and you're right that having them next to each other does make them all look better (same thing as the USC offensive guys), but i do think they're all legit NFL starters.

after looking over the draft for where Manny Lawson might go... 3-4 teams include the jets (#4, #29), 49ers (#6), browns (#12), cowboys (#18), chargers (#19), patriots (#21), and steelers (#32).

-the browns really need front 7 players (OLB/MLB/DE each have an open spot, and 3 other spots (DE/NT/OLB) are being filled by guys over 33 right now) and would be the best fit (cause he's a tweener, and could end up playing DE, OLB, MLB, or pass rush specialist, and for the browns, it wouldn't matter what he turned out to be, cause they have holes at all those positions.)

He's not worth the #12 pick though, and he probably doesn't make to to pick #43.

-the cowboys, patriots and chargers don't really need him (good front 7). maybe they'd consider it if he feel to the #50s, but he won't.

-the 49ers could use him at OLB/pass rush specialist, and might take him if he falls to #37, but may look to other needs (DB) instead.

-the jets at #29 look like the right value to pick him up. They could use him at either position, but wouldn't be forced into starting him immediately (35 year old DE, average OLB holding the starting spots right now).

-the steelers at #32 would consider it, but mangold, a top 3 WR, L White, or a guy like wimbley/hali falling would probably trump him.

So i'd guess the jets are the most likely at #29 (if they don't take mangold or an RB), followed by browns at #43, the 49ers at #37, and steelers at #32.

I don't see him falling below that #43 spot though... if he's there, it seems like a virtual lock that the browns take him.
