Dirtbag59 04-20-2006, 02:40 AM Yeah I def think that this guy doesnt really know what he is saying. We are going to go LB or CB and that is obviously, I feel sorry for the people paying for this insider bullshit. It is quite obvious, this guy knows what the concerns are for some major bandwagon teams in the NFL, and the picks that he gave the Skins in this case, are the highest ranked players he has left over at our picks, and they have nothing to do with our needs. The free agents need thread that I posted from yahoo, seems to have a better idea of who and what we need. I am somewhat surprise bc usually yahoo sucks.
Good thing I'm getting it for free
That Guy 04-20-2006, 04:09 AM at 53 there should be a lott better players than tapp around. I doubt seriously plack will be there at pick 250, but if he is, it'd be a great pickup.
SPEAR CHUCKER CHIEF 04-20-2006, 06:04 AM yes i got the memo lets see daniels had 8 whole sack and 4 came in one game against dallas. So lets see if my math is right that 4 whole sacks in 15 other games whooo that alot. Carter didnt do much better wouldnt be nice to have another pass rusher to give the other teams something to worry about. Because our pressure suck most of last year.
dmek25 04-20-2006, 06:37 AM welcome scc.while i agree about the pass rush last year, greg williams likes to generate his pass rush from all angles.i think the skins go linebacker here, and hopefully in the kid from miami.thatguy, you have an opinion on him as a player?(scc, dont take anything personal here, youre among friends)
GoSkins! 04-20-2006, 07:13 AM While I agree that DE depth is a good thing to have, I think that Daniels did a better job last year than his sack total alone implies. He stuffed the run, batted down a lot of passes, and still generated 8 sacks. You cannot just discount his 4 sacks against dallas. Most of the time a big sack guy gets lucky with his matchups a couple of times in the year to help his numbers. Daniels really played perfectly in Greg Williams system.
Oh yeah, and we added Carter (now returning to his DE position...)

Is it just me, or is this screen name EXTREMELY offensive in a racial context?

McIntosh? he's pretty good, but inconsitant. Not amazing in coverage either. I'd prefer alston at OLB, even though he's rated a bit lower. If a guy like demeco ryans falls though, he'd clearly be the best pick.
on tapp:
he may end up playing DT instead of DE cause then his speed and height wouldn't be huge negatives there... he'd have to spend a year bulking up though. At DE in the senior bowl (where he played every D snap due to MK being hurt) he did NOTHING. he lost ground chasing QBs and couldn't get past anyone. He has a good first step and a good motor, but i'm not sure that's enough by itself to generate huge sack numbers.

Regarding Carter, you're looking at his numbers when he was used as a LB in San Fran. As a full time DE, I don't think there is anyone who doubts that he is a huge upgrade in our pass rush.
Regarding the rest of the mock, I usually just tune out after round 2. There is no way anybody can make a mock with any level of accuracy after two rounds. And I don't see any reason for us to go DE in round 2 unless every decent CB, LB, and OG are already gone.
saden1 04-20-2006, 10:17 AM Seems like a lot of people don't actually know much about Tapp. He abused D'Brickashaw Ferguson through and through. Tapp is fast as hell and he is going to be a super star in the league.

My first thought as well! Ought to change it. It has to be a young kid. Mods might be of some help. I changed mine a while back with their help.
