Men and women share bathrooms in your office?

I have been there when I worked in a small office with one shared bathroom. I literally walk to Giant about a .5 mile from my office to take a crap versus everyone listen and smell me pinch one out.

I'm Memphisskin, and I'm an office pooper.

LOL. Makes me feel like this thread is Office Poopers Anonymous.

My current job has one restroom that everybody uses except for the GM/VP and other higher ups. It's got 4 stalls in it, and 3 of them don't even have locks, so if you're in one of those stalls you have to keep your guard up in case some guy barges in and pushes the door open. Because everybody from sales/service/parts/the garage uses this bathroom, there is a foul smell constantly lingering. I try to avoid it whenever possible.

Yep. There are two side-by-side but unmarked. Mainly due to the reason that 90% of the employees are females...and slobs.

Same way with my office. There are no Male/Female bathrooms, it's whichever one is open. Of course, it's a one person bathroom...lol! And the ones on my hall can really be bad when you have to pass them heading to medical records or to one of our training rooms.

I've found they never knock. I hope the push-button lock doesn't pop out without me knowing it some time. They just grab the handle and yank on the door.

I usually pound on the wall...then knock on their door (the other bathroom) on the way out. They still haven't taken a hint.

Seriously rude. I do not want to walk in on any of them and although I can understand the ladies not minding walking in on me, no one wants that awkwardness in the workplace.

I always knock...never want to see anything or anyone.

I have to say though, when they knock on the door when I'm in there, it's kind of awkward to answer them back. I mean, I guess I could say "occupied" but knowing me, I'd take it too far and say I am busy squeezing one off, give me five minutes and some words of encouragement to get through this.

I just knock back on the wall. It is a little awkward to identify yourself. :D

In a small office we all worry about something like this happening.
