Business Week is reporting it will be Bryant Gumbel and Chris Collinsworth. Other sources say they're still negotiating and nothing's official.

Bryant Gumbel? That should be interesting

I thought Collinsworth was NBC's studio man. They haven't been very good sharers since the new deal took place.

BG is a whiney politically correct idiot who has an excuse for everything who got his a$$ handed to him by Katie Curic and a fat old weather guy. Everything about him is uniquely unsuited for the game of football. My vision of hell would involve Gumbell and Kornheiser (another politically correct whiner who has no business doing football) on TV all the time.

When has he not been? On issues of real controversy, he tends to be more concerned about qualifying his statements and choosing his language so that no sacred cows are harmed rather than cutting loose (unless there is some personal afront involved). His MNF era going to make Dennis Miller look like an outstanding success.

I take it you stipulate to the whiner part.

Collinsworth is a Redskins ragger so I got no love for him. I thought Gumbel was mediocre as a host, certainly not as good as James Brown. All in all, I'm hoping the Skins games won't be announced by these two.
