BDBohnzie 04-26-2006, 11:47 AM When I was in high school, one of my close friends worked in the toy department at Wal-Mart. So we not only used to get discounts on stuff...but every once in a while, we'd give him something to do. Kickball, bike riding, and toss back and forth between aisles were big games. We also used to take random toys and put them in different aisles. Hula Hoops make great frisbees...
Warpath 04-26-2006, 12:01 PM I'll leave my thoughts on this subject alone. I've been a vendor/sales merchandiser in different wal-marts for 4 years.
ArtMonkDrillz 04-26-2006, 12:35 PM late night drunken trips to Wal-Mart are some of my best memories of college. There is no joy like the joy of riding a little girl's bike full speed into a huge basket of kickballs at 2 in the morning.
just so everyone is clear, the Wal-Mart in Germantown has nothing on the wm in Salisbury, which in turn, has nothing on the wm in Pokamoke. I think you're actually allowed/encouraged to smoke in the walmarts on the eastern shore.
TheMalcolmConnection 04-26-2006, 12:37 PM Yes, and there's something about how freakin' bright it is that makes me happy late at night.
CooleyAsCanBe 04-26-2006, 01:04 PM Anyone else hear about the kid who spent his spring break at a Walmart?

But, the real reason to hate Walmart is their torture of innocents. Lets all get behind GFS and end the abuse:

http://www.petlibrary.com/goldfish/walmart.htmI I read their page and if it was as bad as they say it is why not just report them for cruelty to animals. I'm not saying that they are making up the stories but if it is as bad as they say it should not be hard to bust them. Local and national media eat these stories up so exposing them should not be that difficult. I don't like how any of the pet stores treat animals and would never purchase anything from them.

is that the WM in North Salisbury, or the WM in Fruitland? because at 2am, either store is a good time. especially shopping cart racing and kiddie ride rodeo...

Let me get this straight. Fish are mistreated in Wal-Mart, so we shouldn't buy them there? I'd think that we should buy as many as we can, to free them.

That would be the WM in Fruitland, because only there can you take a beta fish from the pet section and drop it in the lobster tank in the food section.
On a bit of a blue note, the beta fish will not, in fact, try to fight the lobsters because of the simple fact that it is a fresh water fish and dies almost as soon as it goes into the saltwater. Just so you all know...
BigSKINBauer 04-26-2006, 02:09 PM The only Wal-Mart in MoCo is in Germantown, so of course, every hillbilly, redneck, and cornucopia of ethnicity comes out of the woodwork to shop there. The only time I go is if I absolutely have to, and someone's holding me at gunpoint to do so. And the store is always in such disarray.
Wal-Mart is a great place to go at 2am, because it's empty and those in there will amuse you, making it a better experience.
Yeah, i don't go often but if I see something online that is much cheaper I go there. Sometimes after my birthday I head on out to spend my money. Last time I was there there were kids actually climbing the racks and jumping off into a pile of bean chairs. Moms were yelling and kids were screaming. Not bad prices though. I got my 24 season dvds hella cheap.
