Also, could someone refresh my memory here. In Mitchell's last game with the Redskins he returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a playoff game against Tampa right? We should all be able to do that when we're past our prime

I said ALMSOT over. Gotta trade them while they still have some value.

Except we didn't trade him. He was either cut or just not resigned. Don't remember which.

Sorry I hope you didn't think I was questioning your post. While I'm pretty sure that we didn't trade him, he just wasn't offered a new contract, I had actually thought that his best days were behind him as well when he returned that kickoff and it was just a fluke. As much as I liked the guy I didn't think it would be truly detrimental to the team if we lost him. Besides, didn't we add Michael Bates the next year? At the time, he was one of the best young returners in the game

The Deion signing might have been my worst moment as a Redskins fan, right up there with Marcus Allen breaking the team's back in the '84 Super Bowl. And I wish the Skins could have been more loyal to Brian Mitchell ... letting him go was almost (but not quite) comparable to letting someone like Darrell Green go, or Art Monk, though Art was clearly at the end of his career unlike Brian Mitchell. I think our special teams would have been better all these years if we'd kept him.

But my choice is Kenny Watson.
