scowan 04-30-2006, 09:35 PM LenDale White - no question he is the steal of the draft and he and Vince Young will be something to watch over the next couple years.
With his big contract, and the drafting of Vince Young, you have seen the last of Steve "Air" McNair. The Titans will still not be good this year and we will all see Young early in the season.

I respectfully disagree. Billy Volek took to Chow's system better than McNair, but there were internal problems with flat out benching McNair during the season. The Titans front office basically waited for McNairs annual injury bug, and it never happened. Volek will be very good this year, And I think the Titans and the Jets had the best drafts. I would have added SF, but after Davis, their picks stunk.
1 more thing. I know drafting kickers and punters is taboo, but I wish we would have grabbed Sam Koch P from here in Nebraska. The kid kicks bombs, and kicking in these elements are challenging to say the least. Watch him with the Ravens. (ugh, I spit that teams name out.)
That Guy 04-30-2006, 10:52 PM Chad Jackson, Winston Justice, Jimmy Williams, Richard Marshall, Stanley McClover, Fred Matua, Todd Watkins, dee webb, a bunch of the DTs (harris, wright, watson).
plenty of good talent fell. AZ and PHI had the best drafts start to finish, rams had a very good day 1. lots of other teams (like the browns) found 3 starters.

I thought he might go undrafted due to no coverage, but he's the guy i wanted :( john torp is still a UDFA worth getting, but koch is better.
SmootSmack 04-30-2006, 10:57 PM Aaron Rodgers is the assumed successor to Favre whenever he retires but I wouldn't be surprised if Ingle Martin has something to say about that.
bigm29 04-30-2006, 11:19 PM Matt Leinart- best QB in the draft and would have been number 1 overall if he came out as a junior. could have been number one this year too in my opinion. but none of the top teams needed a QB. Still though, cant believe he fell to number 10 when oakland or detroit or buffalo could have gotten him.
Also cant believe young was selected before him especially with norm chow on the team

i liked ingle martin and think he was a quality pickup. GBs draft could have been so much better if they got chad jackson instead of greg jennings though.
That Guy 04-30-2006, 11:26 PM Dolphins | Still undetermined if R. Wright will need surgery
Sun, 30 Apr 2006 18:32:31 -0700
Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban said DL Rodrique Wright (shoulder) was told by a doctor that he may need surgery. Saban added, "When we bring him in, we are going to examine him beyond what was done at the combine to determine the extent of his injury and make a determination then as to what the best procedure is. He can continue to play with this and we can do it later. I think if he continues to play with it, he is going to continue to do damage and eventually it is not going to repair correctly." It is not known how much time he would miss if he did have surgery, but Saban said there could be a point in time during the 2006 season where Wright would come back and play.
explains some of the fall, but not all of it.

I think the rest is character/effort related.
skinsfanthru&thru 05-01-2006, 12:20 AM Lindell White, Darryl Tapp, Taitusi Lutui, Leonard Pope, Maurice Stovall, Elvis Dummerville, Jeff King (whom we should have taken with the 5th round pick), Cedric Humes and Chad Jackson were all pretty good steals, but the biggest steal has to be Lienart especially given the offensive weapons he's going to have around him from the get go.
