HAHA! I'm still undecided on the whole Mini Cooper thing. Sometimes they look OK and sometimes it would feel very homoerotic driving one.

Just drive the old Suzuki Swift. NO ONE will question your heterosexuality.

True story!

I used to work with a guy who immigrated here from Russia and was out shopping for his first car, specifically a sports car. He was very excited... he thought that owning a car was an extremely American thing to do.

He bought a one, presumably based on the suggestion of a woman who also worked in the office. About a week later, I was outside smoking and heard him berating her in his thick-ish accent about the car he had just bought:

"Why did you not tell me that the Miata is a homosexual car?"

NO WAY! That's hilarious. To the Miata's credit, it's not a homosexual car so much as it's an I-can't-afford-a-Corvette-for-my-midlife-crisis car.

I don't necessarily think the Miata is homosexual either. Apparently, the problem was he was getting hit on by dudes while he was driving it.

If he was out cruising parks in NW DC at 3AM in the new Miata, I couldn't tell you.

HAHAHAHAHA. I was with my fiancee in a Daiquari Bar in TN one night and she left to use the bathroom and within 3 minutes a guy's hand was on my thigh. I nearly hit the mother f*cker off the stool. Can't guys just keep their hands off of me? :(

True story. Non-serious final comment.

I guess it's the whole idea of a guy being in a Daiquari bar. Fat Tuesday's is the only hetero bar like that.

Here is another true story...a study partner (sounds homosexual already) back in college had a Miata. He gave me a ride (oh, how so homosexual) home and a couple I noticed of times people in other cars staring at us while at an intersection. I thought they just liked the car and didn't realize the stigma associated with Miatas until well after the said ride.
