i've been stung a few times by bees...not too fun.
but mosquitos...i don't usually notice until hours after they've attacked. They're ninja-like sometimes. plus, i spend a lot of time at the beach, and they are notorious for being around. bastards.

I hate horse flies at the beach even more. If you're out on a day without any breeze you are f'd. Horse flies are reason #15 that I wish I had a tail.

no amount of wedgies or black eyes could account for the terror i felt that day.
The hive that broke near me was a big ass hive, like a real hive. There were bees everywhere.

I heard Koi fish eat them. Of course, you may not have them without the pond.

Well, hornets and wasps are both bees. Wasps are the dark colored bees that are somewhat skinny and have wispy wings. Wasps build open nests. You usually see them under the eves of houses. Hornets are the black and white bees. They're a little bigger than wasps, but not as fat as bumble bees. They are similar to yellow jackets, but a little bigger and instead of yellow, they have white markings. They build enclosed nests. They will build them just about anywhere, but they are very common in trees.
That concludes this week's episode of Chris Payne The Nature Brain.

Again, i am not opposed to the idea of exterminating all of these sons of bitches off God's green-blue earth. I don't care if another flower never grows.
