Redskins Top 10 Plays of '05Redskins8588 05-18-2006, 12:00 AM I think that #8 was just the ol' hook and latter play gone arye... Daseal 05-18-2006, 12:08 AM CP hanging on Sellers Jersey for a TD. is #1 in my book. jamf 05-18-2006, 12:16 AM a few that havent been mentioned: Moss' TD on a screen pass against the chiefs. Ryan Clarks hit on Tim Carter of the giants. Portis Knocking out Quarles of the Buccs in the playoffs. Ade Jimoh with a big hit on punt coverage in seattle. Ryan Clarks interception in the redzone against the eagles to end the game and put us in the playoffs. ArtMonkDrillz 05-18-2006, 07:40 AM I loved the pick for the TD on Christmas Eve. Shockey;s reaction alone was worth top ten honors, but the fact that it went for a score should put it into the top three. What about Sean Taylor's hit at the end of the MNF dallas game that should have been called a catch and a fumble. It completely sealed that game and it probably caused dallas' receivers to fear Taylor even more (if that's possible). MTK 05-18-2006, 08:40 AM Brunell to Moss I and II are definitely the top plays of 2005, without those plays who knows how the season turns out. MTK 05-18-2006, 08:41 AM a few that havent been mentioned: Moss' TD on a screen pass against the chiefs. That was #10 on the list freddyg12 05-18-2006, 08:53 AM all good choices. One that is under the radar a bit is ST's tackle of Arrington of the Cards on a 3rd & 2 (or was it 4th?) to close the game. It wasn't one of his monster hits, Arrington actually cringed when he saw him comin & didn't even plow into the line to try & get the 2 yards. MTK 05-18-2006, 08:55 AM Marshall's tipped INT against the Eagles was pretty huge. freddyg12 05-18-2006, 08:56 AM also, portis to cooley on an option pass. I think it was the 2nd giants game, can't remember exactly. Perfectly executed play. GoSkins! 05-18-2006, 09:10 AM Brunell to Moss I and II are definitely the top plays of 2005, without those plays who knows how the season turns out. Agreed... those plays, to me, were like the Lavar interception that turned the season around for Marty. (Please don't let the name "Lavar" highjack this thread...):) I think it may have given Gibbs the confidence to throw it downfield more. |
