Darrell Green... first ballot hof?

I believe Green will be on the first ballot and it would be neat to see him and Monk go at the same time. They both deserve it.

I agree DG should be a first ballot hof. You can not compare DG with Monk.. you should never say Monk is more deserving.. They are both GREAT REDSKINS. BOTH worked their asses of ON AND OFF the field and look at this they kept out of trouble..maybe that might hurt DG on getting in.. But they should Retire #28. 20 yrs same team. not many others can say they have played 20 yrs much less with the same team , unless youre a kicker, then you would have been on 5-6 teams in that 20 yr period. never heard any whining out of him. If 81 is not a first ballot HOFer, then no way should 28 be one. I like him and all, but no way is Darrell Green more deserving than Art Monk.

for one. they were both great on the field and off the field.
two. one played offense the other defense of course monk will score more tds, more catches, etc...
three. thats like comparing Russ Grimm to Joe Jacoby... 2 great redskins. you couldnt say grimm deserves it more than jacoby..

I think Green was a more valuable player to the Redskins than Art Monk was. Don't get me wrong, I think Monk was great. But can I honestly say he's one of the top 10 WRs ever to play the game? I'm not sure about that. But I feel very confident in saying that Darrell Green was one of the top 10 CBs to ever play the game.

yeah i agree Hopefully Darrell is going to bring recognition to the Skins and the voters will notice Monk as well.

gotta be. great player for so long. hall of fame is about greatness over time, and he certainly was great for a very...very long time
