Darrell_Green_28 06-12-2006, 05:10 PM Roethlisberger's 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa, which is named after a Japanese bird of prey, was totaled. The 170-horsepower bike, which weighs 500 pounds fully loaded, was targeted by law enforcement agencies worldwide after its 1998 debut because it could reach a top speed of 189 mph.
jbcjr14 06-12-2006, 05:12 PM 9 inch laceration in the back of the head? That sounds like a pretty big gash...ah, who needs a helmet. I wonder how he'll manage to wear a football helmet in 7 weeks and comfortably take hits where his head hits hits grass.
p.s. This (http://espn-att.starwave.com/photo/2006/0612/nfl_a_roethlisbergerbike_275.jpg) sure has hell doesn't look like a Harley/Chopper/Cruiser. I wonder what it is.
Looks like a 2007 Crotch Rocket to me....

What kind of car do you drive? Can it exceed the national speed limit of 75mph? Under your logic all corvettes, ferraris, lambo's, BMW's, Mercedes, etc. have no business on public roads. They can all do well in excess of 150 MPH.
Owning a bike that has that power, does not mean you have to use it recklessly, just like owning a vette doesn't mean you have to drive 180.

RedskinPete 06-12-2006, 05:19 PM Is there any truth that one of his eyes is what the operation was about?
SmootSmack 06-12-2006, 05:20 PM Just think. Antwaan Randle El was just a helmetless motorcycle rider away from being this much closer to lining up behind center for the Steelers
BigSKINBauer 06-12-2006, 05:22 PM Is there any truth that one of his eyes is what the operation was about? I guess it was for the broken sinus cavity which i think is right there below the eye so it could be very well for that.

Mc2guymy kia minivan has never exceeded 75 mph i'll have you know.
on a serious note, i was talking about motorcycles but cars that go that can go that fast should have govenors on them too. if you want to go that fast you are putting everyone on the road in danger.
i know that this comment will draw some criticism but lets be real people. if the law says you can only go so fast then they should regulate a cars ability to break that limit

I'm glad that you are a slow driver, I feel safer because of it, but the question was "can" your car go faster and the answer is yes. Ben was not speeding, that latest reports are saying a car pulled in front of him illegally, so his bike and it's speed potential was irrelevant. Inattention to the task at hand and poor judgement is what kills people in cars AND on bikes not the potential top speed of the vehicle they are piloting.
That Guy 06-12-2006, 05:47 PM 980 just reported fractured sinus cavity, broken nose, broken jaw... not sure if that' everything or just some of the injuries.
