Going to work thurs. morning, running just a bit behind, two filing deadlines looming.

Guy pulls in front of me from the left lane to the right lane with MAYBE a car length to spare. Literally runs me off the road, jumps out of his car and tells me it is my fault because he had his blinker on. (Sorry, you're right - once you put your blinker on, I am able to change the laws of the space continuim and go from 30 mph to 0 in the space of 15 feet). BTW - the guy and his girlfriend speak very nice broken english thank you.

Although the damage is relatively minor (flat tire, bent rim), I believe that I may need some backup for the chain of events that left me halfway up the sidewalk and him stradling two lanes. However, this is a downtown intersection where 30 people standing 10' away saw nothing b/c they don't want to get involved. I got the name and number of one person. (the newspaper guy). At which point, the loony and his girlfriend start yelling at me that I must get the names of all the people present. Since they had called the police, I had to wait until they showed up. As no one had been injured, the police took their time getting there. Once they did, the guy finally (and only at the direction of the police) gives me his insurance information.

An bad event which should have only taken 15 minutes went on for an one and half hours and caused me to be late all day long.

All because this stupid idiot had no f*** ing clue.
A bad eve

A bad eveYou did the right thing trying to get a witness. That is worth more than any thing you or the other party can say. I'm in the insurance business and we see it all the time people get out exchange info and go on their marry way. Then when the claim is filed stories start to change and the insurance co can do only so much.

A few weeks ago one of the girls who works for me got into a car accident on her way to work. Her husband was deployed and she did not know what to do so she called me frantic and crying because the guy was trying to convince her not to call the cops, but to let him pay for it out of his pocket. It goes without saying that I told her not to do or say anything until I got there (I was only five or so minutes away). When I get there woulden't ya know the guys a f-ing crackhead. I have experence picking them out and he was definatly one. This puke is literaly begging her not to call the cops. Between talking to me and her father on the phone she finally did call. When they arrived they separated us and gathered information. Come to find out the guy had no insurance, his liscense was suspended, and the tags on the car belonged to his buddy who was in the passanger seat (wrong car though). To make it worse on himself he decided it was a good idea to give me dirty looks and point at me from across the street while the cops were there. The police officer politely informed me what I needed to do to press charges for assult which I did. Freakin scum.

I think the cop put it best when he described everything to us.

In another thread I told the tale of the heating/AC guy who crapped all over a homeowner's brand new bathroom. Since my dad was the production manager for the job site he had to clean it.

I really hate people sometimes.

Reminds me of Bob Saget in the Dumb & Dumberer movie.

POO! HE POOED ALL OVER! IT'S POO!!!!!!!

"This guy's a f-ing winner"

That reminds me of something this girl was telling me this weekend.

About 2 weeks ago she was driving with a friend and a biker swerved off the side of the road and into her car, which caused him to fly threw her windshield! Turns out the guy was drunk, so he ended up getting a DUI, but he has no auto-insurance to pay for the damage to her car. So, since he was on a bike and not a car she can't get her insurance to pay for it under their uninsured dirver policy. She has to buy a new windshield and fix whatever else got F'd up with her own money.

i can't believe her insurance company won't pay for it...however, her rates probably would have gone if if she was able to file the claim...
