that's just like Batwing at Six Flags America in Largo...which, in the 27 years I've lived in the area, have never been to.

i hadn't visited an amusement park in years before a month or so ago... what happened to the rides??? i swear, the architects are amping up the designs to create an evolution of thrills... i went on this ride at six flags here in socal and i couldn't believe how crazy the "X" ride was. it's like they threw out the traditional laws of roller coaster design and just made up their own rules:

X Ride (http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/coasters/reviews/x/)

The park also just opened up "tatsu", where you're actually sprawled out with your stomach facing the ground. Imagine going down that first hill, face first!

Tatsu Ride (http://www.sixflags.com/parks/magicmountain/Rides/tatsu-virtual.html)

I've seen that X Ride featured on TV shows about thrill rides... definitely looks insane! How crazy was it? Part of me would want to go on it, the other part of me says no way.

Matty... the 90 second ride is worth the trip out west (if you're into coasters). It's unlike anything I've ever been on before- the first time you're on it will be the best, because your not sure which direction your body will go. The seats rotate before, after, and during drops and turns (the best raven turns anywhere): which all adds up to an extra ride dimension. Honestly, I had that "first time ever on a coaster" feeling while I was on "X."

For sure... I haven't been on that one yet. I have to find a day during the week to go, cuz like you mentioned the three hour weekend lines kind of destroy your day.

I road Tatsu a few weeks ago. It was pretty cool. There are parts of the ride where it feels like your going to shoot out of your harness and fly across the park into The Revolution. It's not as good as X. But it's the next best thing. I love the rides at Six Flags. I hope they don't have to close that place.:(
I had a Disneyland pass for a few years too. But that got kinda old.
Knotts Berry Farm has some good new rides as well. And it's cheap. Not to mention you can drink beers inside the park wich is a big +!:drink

astroworld was cool till 6 flags took it over, then it went downhill fast, attendance lagged, they{lousy ass big fckin corp}decided the land was worth more than the park and tore it down.this 6 flags wasnt worth a crap, they quit having shows, let the park get rundown, the batman ride,a roller coaster,it had a batmobile parked in front of it,last time i went it had 2" of dust on it and a broken windshield,it looked like they didnt give a shit.theres no way in hell i'd buy their stock, they suck

There talking about doing the same thing to the six flags here in SoCal. Which is kind of ironic because they built the park back in the 50's in an attempt to bring people from LA over the mountian so that they could sell houses to them. Now that all the people came the land is worth more then the park. So in a sense the park might have killed itself. Go figure.
