Cartwright could be kept and listed as FB.

I see the RB spot possibly shaping up like this: Portis, Betts, Duckett.

At FB: Cartwright, Sellers.

I can't see us keeping more than 5 players at these two spots. I think White and Nemo are as good as gone.

The more I think about it the more it seems White is gone, in addition to Nemo being gone. White just hasn't done that much.

I'm down with that. Maybe it'll stop the bitching among Betts and Cartwright.

Nemo LOVES to fumble. I've seen a couple flashes against third stringers, but I'd rather have our guys who've proven something.

I read something this morning that reminded me of a similar situation we've had here.

We ran a 3-headed monster at RB in 1991 with Byner/Ervins/Riggs. Perhaps that what Gibbs has in mind this year. Portis is the main guy, Betts change of pace, and Duckett the bruiser.

Sounds like a plan to me!

I'm feeling really good about this.
I don't think Joe makes this move unless he senses he's ready for a SB run.

5 WRs is the bare minimum for a Saunders offense.

I see us keeping 4 RBs and 2 FBs. Portis, Duckett, Betts, Cartwright at RB; and Sellers and Manny White at FB.

Lumsden could hit the practice squad.

I thought Nemo may have had a shot to make the team, but he fumbled yet again. I think he's a goner now.

i've seen nothing to indicate white will make the team. we probably will keep robert johnson at TE, and he or duckett could possibly work as FBs if needed.

White may be kept on the practice squad. He appears to have potential, but is not as good as Sellars or Cartwright. I think Rock should pack back on a few pounds and resume the fullback role.

Gibbs continues to build this team in the image of his past teams. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

i mean gibbs wasn't going to go, OH that guy? Yeah, we're going to cut that piece of shit next week. Ha ha, Saunders and me and are going to cut off his pay check until he notices that he isn't wanted. Its going to be some funny shit.

Gibbs was just being nice. Who knows what will happen. I say, we find a trade for rock or ladell. If none is available say goodbye to jesse and keep both of them. Simple as that. I think rock contributes least to this team but i haven't seen enough of lumsden to say he is worthy of a spot.

Portis, duckett, and one more available each week with one inactive every week. If one of the big dogs go down just make them inactive and move up the other guy. I say lumsden is a great back-up to all of them due to his size and speed. Rock, as good as he is, isn't a really valuable backup who can step in for betts or duckett if needed because of his size.

the redskins will not carry 5 running backs...when they have to get down to 53 you will see ladell betts being traded
