He meant, it's a privilege to be UVA's QB. If you get to practice early everyday, you do well on tests, and you wash your jock strap you get the privilege of being the QB for that week's game.

Basically pointing out, that it is a honor at UVa to be on the team, and we don't harbor thugs and druggies no matter how good they are.
