Gibbs and Firstdown Believed in Hall...Now I Do Too!SmootSmack 10-01-2006, 11:00 PM Gotta give some props to John Hall. 5 for his last 5, including a 44-yarder and a 47-yarder. 200th career field goal today Respect to the kicker. Mad respect Big C 10-01-2006, 11:03 PM mad love. hail! Beemnseven 10-01-2006, 11:06 PM At first, I was screaming for Gibbs to go for it on 4th and 1 at the end, one of the reasons being Hall not exactly automatic anymore. Whatever. It was the right call. Now, if he could only get those kickoffs a bit further... htownskinfan 10-01-2006, 11:18 PM Yes,I have to give major props to Hall today, but his kickoffs leave something to be desired, but thats a coaching descision I still dont understand,Frost kicks off deeper,I dont know why they switched back to Hall, speaking of Frost, great punt inside the 10,but 2 lousy punts in a row, penalty on the first one, instead of redeeming himself he shanks the 2nd one bigtime,I dont know what it is with him and the shanks,I've never seen a punter shank so many kicks, but at least they didnt score after his shank,so thumbs up for Hall,Frost is a no descision mooby 10-01-2006, 11:25 PM Frost had a couple bad punts tonight. Hopefully he continues progressing after this, he was coming along nicely this season. As for Hall, I'm suprised. Before tonight i was concerned that he'd have trouble with anything beyond 40 yards. Hopefully he's back to his pre-injury form. SmootSmack 10-01-2006, 11:28 PM If I remember right, Gibbs mentioned something a week ago about how allowing Hall to kickoff helps keep his leg warm and that helps him on field goals; or something like that htownskinfan 10-01-2006, 11:49 PM If I remember right, Gibbs mentioned something a week ago about how allowing Hall to kickoff helps keep his leg warm and that helps him on field goals; or something like that I hadnt heard that, but I'm glad theres some logical reason behind it if thats the case Pocket$ $traight 10-02-2006, 01:00 AM Gotta give some props to John Hall. 5 for his last 5, including a 44-yarder and a 47-yarder. 200th career field goal today Respect to the kicker. Mad respect I would trade those in for the one in Seattle last year but you are right. He was solid. saden1 10-02-2006, 01:06 AM Hall still scares the shit out of me...I still think that SOB is going to cost us at least another game. saden1 10-02-2006, 01:08 AM Frost had a couple bad punts tonight. Hopefully he's back to his pre-injury form. He only had one bad punt...the one where he punted nice the first time and then had to do it over again because of a penalty. I'm really impressed with him though he could be a little more consistent. He is young though and he will only get better. |
