Mooby, I have to disagree. When the D stopped the Titans Brunell came out and went 3 and out. That puts a tired and clueless D back out there. Every possession should have had points on it for us.
It's on Brunell.

Well look at it this way. The D stopped the Titans late in the game, but if we had had shut down Young and Henry like we should've, and not let them put points on the board we wouldn't have had to rely on M.B. to win the game for us. And lets face it, Brunell doesn't have what it takes to lead us to wins when we need to rely on him anymore. I mean, when there's like 5 minutes left on the clock and we're down by 3, that's the only time the offense really tries to open it up. Through the first 55 minutes they're content to just run the ball and throw screens.

How can you say that when the D was shredded all day by Henry and a rookie QB??
The game should have never been that close. You can't give up 178 yards rushing to a back and then throw the blame at your QB for not bailing out the pathetic effort by the defense.

Today had a lot to do with the defense. However, they've looked bad all year long. News Flash: They're gonna be bad this year. So, you need to plan on putting points on the board. And checking down on 3rd and longs isn't the way to do that.

With the way our D has been playin all year, the best D is a Good O. We know damn well going into games that the D can't do it. 700 page playbook? RIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT!

Henry with a career day, how freaking embarrassing. They shredded our D today. You can't win with a pathetic effort like that.
I recall Henry having another career day against us a few years back:

Anyone else think some of the defensive players are mailing it in? Holdman? Daniels? Wynn? Rogers? Archuletta?

Yes, when he played for Gregg Williams at Buffalo, and they ran roughshod over our Spurrier coached team.

Holdman just doesn't have the talent to be a consistent playmaker as a weakside LB. Daniels definitely gives max effort and was our best D lineman on the field today. Wynn is seriously overpaid in my estimation. Rogers is looking lost - I recommend making him nickel back when Springs comes back to build back his confidence. Archuletta is the most overpaid safety in the history of the league, but don't blame him - Gibbs and the Danny gave him millions more than the next closest suitor (Chicago) offered. He gives max effort, but would have trouble covering his own shadow.
The bigger problem is the philosophy of ignoring the draft and building through high priced free agency. There's no cap space to have effective depth, and that's coming home to roost.
