What's missing? Experience with the system and a win-loss record that more accurately reflects the effort put forth by most of these players.
What is missing from this years team?Dogtag 10-27-2006, 02:24 PM What's missing? Experience with the system and a win-loss record that more accurately reflects the effort put forth by most of these players. RiggoRules 10-27-2006, 03:19 PM Winning will usually bring on a "swagger". Has anyone ever seen a 2-14 team with swagger?? C'mon now. Rexi usually brings lots of swagger. Wait, maybe it isn't swagger, just the San Francisco swish that 49rs fans have. The Zimmermans 10-27-2006, 03:26 PM We are missing A GOOD QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Schneed10 10-27-2006, 03:32 PM Swagger is the result of success, not the cause of success. RobH4413 10-27-2006, 03:41 PM Mabye he's talking about the pyschological component of winning. There is definitly a "winners attitude", but personally I don't buy that we don't have it. Players are trying to win, I mean for christ's sake Joe Gibbs is our coach. Defensive depth is what we were missing, and injuries have exposed this horribe horrible flaw. We're really not terrible on offense, and if our defense played like last year, we may be sitting much more comfortably in standings. On a random side note, I saw a black bear in my back yard last night. Scared the shit out of me. He was eating something and my neighboor started banging pots and pans at him. He just looked over and kept eating. I went into to the woods and saw a deer carass with big pile of crap next to it. I'm scared now, but year... random. TheMalcolmConnection 10-27-2006, 03:55 PM Did the big pile of crap look anything like Brunell? I keed, I keed. That Guy 10-27-2006, 04:15 PM chemistry, health, stability, an offensive scheme and playcalling that are in tune with the actual talent and capabilities of the players on the roster... Twilbert07 10-27-2006, 05:12 PM At least we're not missing washed-up players!!! The Redskins' rivals in the NFC East -- the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys -- have stockpiled young talent. The Redskins, meanwhile, have stockpiled veterans on the downside of their careers. Their opening day roster consisted of players with an average age of 27.83, the highest in the NFL. 89moss89 10-27-2006, 06:34 PM I think the Redskins are a group of older players that have already got there big contact and most of them, not all of them, but most of them just go through the motions every Sunday because they know that they already made there big money. Portis & Moss go all out every game on offense on defense I have a hard time coming up with anyone that seems to be playing consistently this year. Marcus Washington hasn't been the player he was over the last few years and this was supposed to be his breakout year with Arrington gone. Sean Taylor just goes for the big hit every play not like Troy Polumalu of the Steelers who is all over the field making plays. I think it comes down to a lot of spoiled players who make way to much money. hooskins 10-27-2006, 07:46 PM The interesting thing about kidwell is he starts a bunch of threads, and never responds back. He is like a tornado, leaving a path of destruction, and never coming back. |
