He implied that this would help us utilize AA a little better because we would bring him in on the plays he was brought to D.C. for... blitzing. That did occur to me, but shouldn't it have occured to GW as well? Why bring him if your not going to use him that way. You already knew he couldn't cover. Terrible call Mr. Williams. At the very least, bring him when the blitz is obvious... This year on the other hand I seem to know who and where the blitz are coming from. That Guy 11-06-2006, 07:07 PM gotta blitz. marcus is 10x better than our DLine (save griffin) at getting to the QB. it sucks, but our DL isn't good enough to do it on their own. JGisLordOfTheRings 11-06-2006, 09:27 PM Gregg Williams has always been known to bring all kinds of pressure and blitzes and he can mask them well. I am wondering though it seems that the secondary has been struggling esp. when they blitz and leave 1 on 1 matchups. If they cut back on blitzing and just rushed the front 4 and kept an extra defensive back in it seems it would help the secondary a lot. You can also use this guy to bring an occasional blitz. Also, when they are blitzing they aren't getting there quick enough so the QB can get the ball away before he has to run. Maybe it's time to switch away from blitzing a little bit and focus on coverage esp. since we got some good receivers coming up later this season. Agree or Disagree? disagree...we are god-awful in coverage 65% of the time...we finally got some pressure yesterday and it needs to keep up... period...
