Hilarious Stuff: Witten is Made a Fool

well, vincent was a great signing, but it's not like he's a world beater and he's 35 :(. still, 30$ for a backup? ouch.

That was a pretty funny article. However, it seemed like the author's point, in making Dallas look so bad, was indirectly to say that the Skins had no right to win. I agree we didn't play supberb ball, but we were always in the game and missed the potentially winning field goal only seconds before the block.

On another note, and as disappointing as it is, I don't think it was Witten who missed his assignment on the blocked field goal. Witten, as the far left extreme of the line blocked the outside rusher. The player to Witten's right doubled up unnecessarily and missed Vincent who came in untouched.

Either way, great play and even better when the losing team talks trash and gets beat.

Vanderjagt was staying stuff after the game like "I did my job. I kicked it well. But there are 11 guys on the team that have to do their job..."

On feild goals you're always responsible for your inside gap, I'm pretty sure that is most def. the guy that Witten was supposed to block. You NEVER worry about your outside guy, because ussually the guys will never make a block coming from the outside. (Look at the jump the Dallas guy got on Novacks GW FG, it was a great great effort adn still fell short. Thats why they always worry about the inside guy, so that'd have been Wittens.

So the best thing AA has done all season was to make Witten laugh so hard at him that he couldn't block on the next play...
