Spurrier was pretty open when it came to Mini Camps and Training Camp. Look what happened. Everyone knew that Spurrier was going to air it out. His offense was very predictable.
Clearly what Gibbs is doing is smart and who cares what everyone thinks. He has a proven record and he's not going to let any distractions interfere with the Redskins. He knows what he's doing.
The man has 3 Super Bowl rings, I say whatever works by all means keep doing it.

I don't need the camp reports, we'll have the preseason games soon enough and then we can see for ourselves. Something tells me this year's HOF game won't be quite the circus that the American Bowl vs. the 49ers was. I look for Gibbs to be very vanilla until the season starts. Why waste bullets?
I miss the old days, with all the motion and misdirection and play action working beautifully.

No one is going to question Gibbs, so if he says jump then we all jump.
Yea I bet the only two starters that play much are the QBs to decide who gets to start. After all the injuries that happened last year I wouldnt be surprised if Portis adn COles and a bunch of othe rpeople just watch after the first drive.

Ouch, memphisskin! Touche! :o
I guess I had that one coming to me after our little tete-a-tete over Dan Snyder! :argue:

Joe, I LOVE your reports, and really missed them this time. Hopefully, things will ease in the future so you can resume your excellent work.

Thanks, John! I appreciate your appreciation!
Hopefully, next year's camps will be more open. I'll still go to the open practices this summer, if for no other reason than the simple pleasure of being among Redskins fans, watching Redskins play football.
