Office supplies in jello, moving Dwight's desk an inch at a time until he was 2 feet closer to the copier...but the best is definitely the stationary one. BigRed 11-13-2006, 12:38 PM Actually, he was promoted in one episode to Assistant Regional Manager. This is my favorite show on TV, too! I hope it stays around for years to come... He's assistant TO the regional manager, so how does that work out? Won't Jim be Dwight's boss? illdefined 11-13-2006, 12:47 PM The Office renews my faith in humanity. that such a cleverely mundane and nuanced comedy show is number one on NBC just makes me think we as humanity have a chance. it's absolutey brilliant, even more brilliant when you consider how its been made so american, considering the UK original. hard to imagine that Ryan, the former temp, is actually the executive producer/writer. only problem: yeah Rashida Jones is just too smoking to disguise, as hard as she tries - shes impressed me with her acting - to be normal but cute (like Pam) she still just doesn't belong in that office. that Call of Duty episode had me on the floor. TheMalcolmConnection 11-13-2006, 01:09 PM Yeah, I mean I must say, I saw Pam on The Tonight Show and when she gets dressed up, she's HOT. Rashida is dressed up hot all the time. I definitely agree, I'm actually very surprised that it's become a hit. The first few times I saw it I thought there's no way that enough people 'get' this show for it to last. I'm pleasantly surprised that it broke through to the masses. Warpath 11-17-2006, 04:50 PM "The Merger" Just watching it today from DVR. The best scene is when the new black guy looks over at Stanley and pounds his chest. Stanley just looks back at his desk. F-in priceless.http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/images/bios/cast/baker.jpg Oh damn, Dwight and Michael putting the big dude up on the table, another funny scene. Yeah that look that Stanley gave him was hilarious Daseal 11-17-2006, 10:25 PM For the most part I've ignored this thread because I've been slacking on season 3 and I want to see all of it, in order. Anyhow, I've been watching this since day 1 (I was pumped for my name is earl, but got addicted to this show). Anyhow, is the show over? From what Ive heard they did get downsized. I dont want too many spoilers, but a basic gist of whats happening. (If it's a huge twist, try not to let me know!) itvnetop 11-17-2006, 11:11 PM Anyhow, I've been watching this since day 1 (I was pumped for my name is earl, but got addicted to this show). [small spoiler] Basically, Jim got promoted to the other branch.... this season has been split b/t showing the aftermath of the Scranton branch and introducing the new characters in the Stamford branch. The entire season was expertly formatted as a set up to last night's 'Merger' episode... I don't want to give too much away, but you'll have to see how the new guys meld with Scranton's... the writing has been a stroke of genius. |
