do we know what was asked of brunell for him to respond, i don't know why you'd ask me that, or i can't believe you asked me that?
i heard an exchange between brunell and a reporter like that happened, i just don't know what went down.

I think Brunell looks remarkably composed for someone who's being asked a tough question.

Of course he's ticked off who can blame him? The entire team has had a rough season, he is well aware that the team in struggling and he's not playing well and he has to deal with morons asking him "tough" (obvious) questions. Good for Czaban, he really showed Brunell!

Brunell looks as poised as ever in front of a mic. wish he stood there and dodged pressure half as well on the field.

Czaban needs to ask Brunell why his favorite receiver is Out O'Bounds. At least he's always open, I guess.

Archuleta, I agree, has been a disaster. I've been disappointed overall in Carter. But he's still young and I still think he's got a bright future.

I don't want to keep talking about Campbell, but I indirectly will in addressing Rocky. Why do people think that Rocky can't beat out Holdman or that he's some sort of bust because he's not starting right now? Was he drafted to be our starter right away? I mean, I wanted us to get a DT in the draft. I didn't think we needed another LB really. But I don't understand the sentiment that he had to be the answer right now.

In today's NFL you can't "bat .500". I love Moss, Portis, Cooley, Griffin, Springs, Washington, Lloyd, & ARE.

I think the book is still out on Carter. I think he is starting to get a better feel.

Archuletta is a huge bust. Bringing in Brunell was a bust (we gave up a pick). To date, Cambell is a bust (gave up at least one pick) and Rocky (gave up a pick) was a bust.

Trading Champ and a 2nd round pick was a mistake. Portis had one year left in his deal. We could have waited a year and used Betts or picked up another back. (Runningbacks grow on trees). We could have drafted Cooley with that pick, instead we have to trade up to get Cooley and give up a pick (good move but wasteful).

By trading Champ, we had to go get Springs (good move but the injuries are starting to cloud the signing) who is not as good as Champ.

We let Smoot go and pick up Rogers. As of now, for a 9th pick, Rogers is a bust. Smoot used to get burned but at least he doesn't play 10 yards off the ball on 3 and whatever like Rogers does. I think that Smoot was just as good at covering. Just as physical and could actually haul in an interception.

Trading Coles for Moss was a great move. No complaints. Same with signing Griff and Washington who is a stud.

The thing is that we are spinning our wheels. We are still trying to find the corner to replace champ.

We draft a QB but the situation is as confusing if not more confusing than it was before.

We sign a safety who is now a special teamer.

And after all of this, the lack of picks has created a situation where our depth is very questionable.

Our linebackers are suspect as a whole. Our secondary is getting toasted regularly. If Griff misses a game our D-line is in shambles.

Our O-line is an injury away from falling to pieces. Our QB situation is comical. Our receivers are awesome but we don't have anyone to get the ball to them. Our RB situation is great but we traded a 3rd pickfor a guy who finally got some work.

The bottom line is that our front office before and during Gibbs cannot get out of it's own way. Every time we make a good move we make a bad one. Then when we have an injury the whole thing falls like a deck of cards.

We need to commit to a nucleus of players. I love a lot of the signings but we need to do more homework. You just cannot make someone the highest paid player at their position and then they end up on special teams. We need to commit to strenthening both lines and we cannot have a guy running our offense who cannot throw.

Anyway that is my two cents. We are out of the race. We paid decent money for Collins and Campbell. Let's take them out of the wrapper.

I think Brunell looks remarkably composed for someone who's being asked a tough question.

There's a couple telling signs about Brunell from those few questions. He's perfectly willing to throw five yard checkdowns on third and long, then go chat it up and smile on the sidelines while the defense gets torched, because he "wants to be the starter as long as he can". So he either doesn't care about the success of the team, or he's too blind to realize he's turned underperforming into an art form.

And why is he so mad about the question? He doesn't even look like he wants to put points on the board. He just wants his rating to look good(which he has only managed to do four times this year), so that Gibbs can talk about how well he played.

why is our secondary bad all of a sudden? they were awesome for two years. MAYBE it had to do with the fact that we had some kind of rush because GW dialed in a blitz now and then. ANY professional NFL qb is going to complete a pass when he has time to sit back in the pocket, knit a dress for brunell and then throw the ball. rogers has played great. he had a bad game against minnesota. you know whos been playing bust-like this year? Sean Taylor. hes been smacking people int he mouth, but hes the one getting burned in our secondary.
