hooskins 11-16-2006, 03:03 PM I was there at that game as my first Skins game. A friend and I were offered free tix at the last minute. One of my all time best skins memories. RFK was amazing.
Yeah, football in dc is supposed to be played outdoors. Only if they promised not to close the roof w/ the exception of a SB.
Yeah I think the roof stays open the majority of the time, even in the cold, but I could be wrong. I see no problem with the Dome, as long as it is very loud, and grass. No turf.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 11-16-2006, 03:13 PM If this monster gets built and its indoors, it is going to be the loudest stadium in the league.....125,000 screaming fans.

125,000? Where did you get that number? That would make it largest football stadium, period(I think).
The Zimmermans 11-16-2006, 03:18 PM We already have 20,000 too many seats, and you want more????? I would never go to games then.

one more seat for the rest of us
The Zimmermans 11-16-2006, 03:33 PM I'd agree with more seats if we could fill them, problem is, so many ticket holders give away most of their tickets when we struggle. With less seats, you get more diehards at the games, who won't give away tickets, plus a better atmosphere. The ginormous stadium has no positives.

Skins near sellout for alot of their games, I dont think filling up the stadium has ever been a problem in recent years.
A new stadium will only attract more people, so I see no negative.
memphisskin 11-16-2006, 03:37 PM I'm for a stadium in the district, but I don't see Snyder moving anytime soon. I know he's always looking to grow his revenues, so there's no way that any new stadium is a seat less than the 90,000 in Fedex. I also don't think Snyder would build it himself like JKC, and he'll get no money from the NFL because 1) its unnecessary since we're playing in a new stadium and 2) the owners don't really seem to care too much for Snyder.
That Guy 11-16-2006, 04:13 PM last i heard, the only way it'd happen is by knocking rfk down and replacing it with a new stadium. i'm all for it as long as danny's footing the bill. otherwise F that.
61cad 11-16-2006, 05:28 PM The District has been licking it wounds since J.K. Cooke pulled out of town.
Why would Dan Snyder want to get in bed with the DC Government? They don't have any money.
