Redskins8588 11-16-2006, 03:12 PM also, Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins with a shoulder injury. He played through the injury during Monday night's loss to the Panthers. hooskins 11-16-2006, 03:13 PM He's gotten closer than most people give him credit for. Remember too that the LB behind him is playing like shit as of late. I'm giving him until the end of the season. We obviously dont have much of an option. I just havent seen speed or a burst from him yet, and I think that is really important as a DE. TheMalcolmConnection 11-16-2006, 03:59 PM I think it's his base that's the problem. He might have huge guns for arms, but his lower body doesn't seem very powerful. This is why I want us to look at a run-stopping DE that has a little pass rush in them in the draft. Monkeydad 11-16-2006, 04:07 PM If Simeon Rice misses the game (see "News" forum), that would take a lot of pressure off Campbell. Rice is a sack machine. TheMalcolmConnection 11-16-2006, 04:14 PM Especially against Samuels. Samuels gets ABUSED by Rice every time we play the Bucs. That Guy 11-16-2006, 04:30 PM BTW, for anyone who cares, Peter King has picked us to beat the Bucs by 16 points. I personally don't hate the guy (he's possibly seen the light about Monk and he doesn't appear to have an anti-Redskins bias). SI.com - Writers - Peter King's Weekend Pickoff: Showdown Sunday in Week 11 - Thursday November 16, 2006 11:02AM (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/11/16/week11/index.html) peter kings predictions are junk :/. he's the guy that said wuerful would throw for 3,800 yards an 30 TDs (or something insane), and that hanesworth would get a one game suspension and nothing more... i mean, there's plenty more, just saying, his track record isn't great. And that's beside the whole "carson deserves to be in the hall, tiki deserves to be in the hall (2 good years), but not art monk. hesscl34 11-17-2006, 10:59 AM You are joking? Carter hasn't abused anyone this year. That's not true at all. I mean, he hasn't been in the spotlight a lot, but he has made some really good plays. freddyg12 11-17-2006, 11:09 AM Especially against Samuels. Samuels gets ABUSED by Rice every time we play the Bucs. Rice is having a tough year & is nicked up, so Samuels should be able to contain him. In that monster game he had against us a few years back in Spurrier time, he was being blocked by a rb much of the time. These guys should still be mad at us from last year, that was a nasty game we won, & ST's spitting didn't help. Expect them to play tough, but also expect our D to hit w/something extra. 61cad 11-17-2006, 12:21 PM That's not true at all. I mean, he hasn't been in the spotlight a lot, but he has made some really good plays. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. |
