That Guy 11-20-2006, 04:51 PM he might be able to play nose tackle, but he's not really a space eater as much as a penetrator, so it wouldn't be playing to his strengths. true quality nose tackles are very hard to find (casey hampton, ngata in last year's draft, etc).
I guess i can't be sure until he tries it though.
JWsleep 11-20-2006, 06:06 PM Leave Taylor at Safety. Come on. He's still young. Hes not an LB. He can be one of the greats at safety given his skills, if he can learn to read the Offenses.
(Is this is joke thread? Kinda has an extremeskins feel... )
70Chip 11-20-2006, 06:24 PM I think they should play a 5-2-4.
Wynn Griffin Golston Salavea Daniels.
Washington Marshall
Wright Springs
Taylor Vincent
This will tighten up the run and increase pass rush. Holdman is invisible anyways.
In Nickel replace Marshall with Rogers.
In Dime replace Golston with Ade, rush four.
In Quarter use a three man rush of Carter, Griffin, and Daniels and bring in Arch as the third safety to play three deep:
Carter Griffin Daniels
Washington
Wright Jimoh Rogers Springs
Arch Taylor Vincent
This would be against 5 wide sets.
mheisig 11-20-2006, 07:55 PM Urlacher used to be a safety. Taylor makes most of the tackles anyway .Might as well get him closer to the line of scrimmage. AA may work out better beside vincent than with taylor.
Why the hell would AA work better next to Vincent than Taylor??!
I tell ya, the season goes down the drain and people start coming up with some bizarre-ass ideas.
mheisig 11-20-2006, 07:57 PM I really wonder what's going on with Rocky. Is he really that lost in picking up the defense? GW is typically slow in putting in his rookies but we're now 6 games away from the end of the season and Rocky hasn't gotten a sniff of playing time on D. Something isn't adding up here.
Same thing with Duckett. And Campbell. And meanwhile turds like AA are out there the whole time.
It's like this organization isn't willing to try new people, and at the same time every offseason is spent buying a new team.

Have you watched the redskins in the Dan Snyder era?????????
What happened when you put big time linebackers next to each other
(Trotter, Arrington, Armstead)?
Its called chemistry
Most redskin fans understand this.
Do you need me to explain anything else to you?

How the hell is putting AA with Vincent remotely like "Trotter, Arrington, Armstead)? You think AA and Vincent is some magic recipe for chemistry at safety?
I would appreciate it if you could tell me what you're smoking, and where I can get some for a good price, because it appears to be some good stuff.
dmek25 11-22-2006, 06:33 AM can someone explain to me how putting players out of their normal position, that somehow, magically they are going to know how to play that position. and then play it well enough to improve our defense? come on, people. lets get real around here
The Zimmermans 11-22-2006, 09:51 AM Any suggestion is reasonable when you consider the current performance of our defense, we just showed that we couldnt stop the worst offense in the NFC, and we knew that they were gonna run the ball, we knew it!!!!

Well, Campbell is finally in there, Duckett is actually getting on the field, and AA has been benched for a couple of games now.
Progress is slow around Redskins Park I guess.
