It's like comparing Alex Smith and Peyton Manning.

They're not even in the same conversation.
I disagree. "Not being in the same conversation" would mean that LT does everything way better than Gore and that isn't true.

LT and Gore are both great backs, but they are completely different.

LT's game is based off of his ridiculous speed and cutting ability. Gore's game is based off of equally ridiculous power and ability to shake tackles.

Gore doesn't have the speed to get to the outside edge and gone nearly instantaneously like LT but on the other hand LT doesn't have the lower body strength to run through tackles and push piles all game like Gore does. Both great backs with very different styles.

LT is a better blocker, passer, runner on the outside, runner on the inside, a much better receiver, fumbles a whole lot less, has been extremely consistent over 6 years compared to one good year, and is insanely more productive at putting points on the board and his team on his back when they need him. so in what ways is Gore better? no one is playing at LT's level at the running back position right now. I appreciate u being all about your team and it's players but that's pure crazy talk even mentioning LT and Gore in the same sentence at this point of their respective careers.
Actually Gore is the better blocker IMO. I think LT actually missed a couple blocks that resulted in hits on Rivers last night where as Gore picked up Peterson and the other Hawks when they blitzed us on Thurs.

Gore is the better runner between the tackles because with LT if you can a good handle on him (not an easy task because of his speed and quickness) then he usually goes down. With Gore even if you do get a handle on him you're job isn't done becuase you still have the difficult task of actually tackling the guy.

Agreed that LT is better outside runner by a lot.

Both catch the ball very well with LT being better.

Ladell Betts is better than LT, Frank Gore, and Emmitt Smith combined, but only if he is traded to the 49ers.

You are a joke.

You are a joke.Betts has been doing great lately but I havent seen much tape on him so I'm not going to evaluate him.

I still havent seen you come up with any points refuting my Gore/LT assessments. Just mindless insults.

i like gore as a player, but the comparison to someone that just set the touchdown record? i know your a 49er homer, and thats cool, but come on. and besides, L.T. has been doing it for the last couple of seasons, and this is gores first real success in the big time. lets go a couple of seasons to try the comparison

Gore's running ability is no mystery to anyone who watched Miami football neither is the fact that he's running on borrowed time with those surgically repaired knees. I give him at most 3 seasons, including this one before injuries take their toll. That gives the 49er's two years to make a run at the championship with Gore.

Rexi. What do you think of A. Smith so far? I personally don't even know why he was drafted so high. I think he is 2nd or 3rd round talent. He's getting better but he's not a first pick, blue chip type of QB. IMO Jason Campbell has more raw ability and is going to be a better passer than Smith. What's your honest opinion on this?
