I don't care what the reason was for doing Riggins jersey, I'm just glad they finally did and mine's in the mail... Woooot!
Same for me, finally a Skins jersey I can wear with pride for eternity!

I think the Skins have been slow to jump on the throwback bandwagon for whatever reason.
I see teams like the Bears where you can buy Butkus, Payton, and Sayers. It's about damn time we started releasing the legends.
They should do the Hogs.
My husband and I were at the "Sports Fan Attic" store in Greensboro and they had the whole Steel Curtain line of jerseys. I told him, "don't even think about it." ;)

Huge jersey fashion faux pas.
Ex-players are should be retired right away to the closet or have the nameplate changed.
I can't even look at my ex-player collection. Brad Johnson, Stephen Davis, Smoot, Bailey, Ramsey, Arrington (2 authentics!).
I've sworn off current players, I'm sticking with the legends. I'm tired of wasting my money.
I wear my trotter, and arrington jerseys all the time. they look a bit tattered (they're all replicas) and I don't care what happens to them.
I have a stephen davis jersey that I still take pride in, even though he went to Carolina... I like the guy. Betts reminds me alot of davis, without the thighs...
which reminds me of beyonce... I used to sing the song, "betty davis eyes" but replace the lyrics with "stephen davis thighs" whenever I saw her lol...
My #56 went to Goodwill.
At the game a couple weeks ago I saw someone with a #82 jersey with the nameplate torn off. I wonder whose jersey that might have been (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1310/gamelogs/2006)?

I'm convinced the Redskins team store has started selling replica Riggins jerseys (they already sell a bunch of old players stuff) because they realize that people are getting pissed about players leaving the team right after they buy their jerseys. I wouldn't be suprised if each year they add another old player to their replica supply.
On a side note: my buddy and I figured out that a great jersey to have, that we've only ever seen a handful of times, would be Brian Mitchell's. Maybe that will be the replica of choice for the team store next season.
I still have, and wear at times my origional Darrell Green #28 because it will never grow old. I'v had it for more than 20yrs.
On the subject of Ramsey's return, it's not likely Gibbs would consider bringing him back here. It would only serve to stir more public controversy which the team does not need at this time, nor do we need the services of Ramsey, and the same goes for Smoot.

I don't want to hear ANYTHING else about #56 getting wacked off.

people wear outdated jerseys cause they don't have the money lying around to buy new ones. Jerseys are a rippoff, people are just trying to get their money's worth, even if it is a faux pas, I don't criticize.
