Sugar bowl fiasco...not right!

Thats like saying the super bowl is in miami a lot so if the dolphins were good and went there often it would be unfair. Theres not much that can be done about it. If the fans are good they'll make the trip and watch it and support the team.

The Super Bowl site is pre determined, in some cases, many years in advance. There is a PLAYOFF system that determines who makes it, which makes it RANDOM. If a group already knows where a game is being played, why select the "home team" to play there? Whoever get the opponant slot is at a severe disadvantage.

Hawaii was in a bowl game that was in aloha stadium and they beat the hell outta Arizona state that was totally unfair...

Georgia Tech, Penn State, Mich. St., Purdue, UCLA and Navy. All of them had very good teams this year. They lost to top notch teams in Michigan and USC. (ps- UCLA beat USC) So why do they not deserve to be in the Sugar Bowl when they only lost to top notch contenders?

LOL!!!! Michigan State lost 8 of their final 9 games, and the last time Navy beat Notre Dame was when Staubach was QB. So they squeaked by an inconsistent GT team, beat an inexperienced PSU team early in the season, and took down an underachieving UCLA team. And they not only lost to Michigan and USC, they were completely demolished. That's not the same as slugging through the SEC, I'm sorry. Compared to what every other major conference team has to face that's pretty damn weak.

If you want to argue they are a top 25, or even top 15 team, that's fine, but they had no business being in a BCS bowl. What LSU did to them was painful to watch. They just didn't have the talent to stand toe to toe with those guys.

In the wake of OSU getting demolished in the title game, would it be unreasonable to say that the three BEST teams in College Football this year were Michigan, LSU, and USC? Certainly Florida (and Ohio State) should be in that discussion, but I'm not sure they would have beaten ANY of those teams.

Are you going to tell me that there are 16 NCAA teams better than them when they were undefeated against teams not in the Top 6?

Sorry buddy, you don't get credit in my book for playing a top 5 team if they demolish you. Mississippi state played some tough teams too you know. You look at the wins. My argument, which I stand behind, is that ND doesn't have any impressive wins. We know that much about them.

BTW, do you really expect a serious answer as to whether or not Michigan is a top 3 team? You do realize that OSU played Michigan right? And won? That's the most ridiculous item of the day.

Like I have said before, I am a pro guru, not a college guru.

They WERE independent until the Big East shakeup a couple of years ago when Miami, BC and VT moved out to the ACC and Temple went independent. That's when UConn, Cincinatti, Louisville and South Florida moved into the Big East.

The Big East used to be a strong conference, but the 3 top teams moved out and 2 crap teams, an OK South Florida team and a good Louisville team moved in. Syracuse is embarrassing now.

All they have is West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers (a team who could NEVER have a good team until the powerhouses moved out (or fell down like Syracuse).

The ONLY independent teams now are ND, Army, Navy and Temple. That longer list is OLD.
