Discouraging: Shawn Springs is the only reliable cornerback you can put in man-coverage play after play after play. Good post. I basically agree with most of it, except this statement. It appeared to me that when Rogers played man coverage(Panthers game) he played far better than the typical zone coverage with ten yard cushions. skinsguy 01-09-2007, 04:29 PM Welcome back SC! Rogers played well in spurts, but there were too many plays where he was beaten like a drum. I would not want to go into a season with Carlos Rogers as THE guy back there that I was depending on to cover someone man to man on 50% of the defensive snaps. He may get better, but I don't see that he's anywhere near Springs as a man-cover guy yet. JWsleep 01-09-2007, 08:24 PM Good to have you back, SC!
