An investigation needs to be launched...how embarrasing for the sports writers to eff this up.

One of the arguments against Monk is that no one can remember a single catch he made. That's crap! I remember 940 catches that helped his team win games! Why don't we just start voting people in for 1 spectacular catch! Who cares what someone does over his whole career! I

That sucks...Monk is long past due.

Btw, I understand that merges make the board less cluttered, but sometimes it makes it harder to find what you are looking for. For example, to find out that Monk did not make the hall I had to look through this whole merge thread, rather than there being an independent thread for grieving over Monk missing the HOF. Sometimes I think separate is more convenient. Thanks

Good point, but until this morning there was no need to start a separate thread because we didn't know if he had been voted in or out. I'll start another thread where people can vent.

Thanks.

I don't know why anyone really get's worked up over this, if you haven't figured out by now that this is just one big ASS KISSING contest! Kind of funny no one can remember any of Monk's catches, but they can remember all of Charlie Sanders catches??????? LOL

Roger wherli???? I watched him play he was more known because his wife was a famous comedian in the 70's than anything he did on the field.

If I was Monk and they ever elected me, I would take the podium and decline the induction stating the HOF is not worthy of the standards of achievment I have accomplished and walk away!

And who doesn't think the NFL has a vested interest in promoting personalities, no matter what it takes?

Plain and simple players need to vote. Not some guy behind a desk who never played football.

BTW, Darrell Green is eligible for the next vote. It would bee too great if Monk and Green went in together next year. That's probably wishful thinking though - the idiots that vote probably think that Roger Wehrli was a better CB than Darrell.
