I remember when he was doing some dumb shit awards show years ago and they axed some performer because they were running into advertising time, so he takes a break in the middle of his preformance for several minutes and announces as he looks at his watch that he's simply ticking away valuble advertising time to see if they would cut him off...

Yeah I agree. Pretty much anytime you get a live performance people do a whole lot of extra stuff.

I thought he was great and the crowd was really into it. When I saw the Orange Bowl in that stadium the halftime act was Cierra, and it was boooorrrrring. I laughed when she finished because she thanked all her fans out there - ugh, we are for a football game, I thought. We didnt even know you were playing until you came on.

Prince on the other hand, thats the real McCoy right thurrr.
I know all those people running out onto the field didn't even know they would but when he started playing they just couldn't help themself. They probably pushed aside the cops and security and they just let it go so nothing bad happened.

like his style or not, ya gotta respect him as a musical genius... he plays like 16 instruments and composes all of his songs. that, in of itself, is work.

I was looking foward to his half time show. It just drives me crazy when a musician tries to do too much which is what he did. Its like ok we know you can play the guitar now just play the dang song.

not a big Billy Joel fan, but the anthem was very good. and prince is still rocking after all these years
