Wireless Internet issue

you can go to best buy and get new antennas (to put on the router or the desktop card). I did that with my parent's setup and it fixed their issues.

Nope, built this machine myself a few years back...

Update: As I suspected, the device cannot be powered down by the PC, and the Power Scheme is Never Turn Off.

I am going to turn off fast user switching and see if that helps...forcing us to log out and log in each time.

And also go into screensaver properties and uncheck the box saying, "Show Welcome Screen upon resume".

Ahhh, I'll definitely check that.

I was able to log in and get the internet after a few hours. The key will be if my wife can log in this morning...
