F...Cronyism.

Apparently if you are the justice department you fire people by asking them to resign (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/editorialsopinion/2003564930_mckayed11.html). I don't know about you lot but it bothers me that important US District Attorney positions are now in political play. I have dealt with McKay's office before and the people that work there are by all accounts first rate people.

the whole patriot act has serious flaws. this is just one of them. without oversight built in (even if it's after the fact), you can't stop abuses.
