Keep Springs as the nickle, and have Rogers and Clements on the field. Rotate them as they fatigue to prevent getting beat deep. Have packages where all three play at the same time (besides the obvious nickle--packages with 3 CBs near the line and ST deep). Kenny Wright was just terrible this year and was a liability every time he stepped on the field. Walt Harris was a good player for the Skins...not Pro Bowl caliber, but he didn't make mistakes. I think Lindsey's release somewhat justifies my anger over how the defense played last year. Again, all the coaches can do is coach. I just wasn't convinced that our staff put people in the best position to succeed last year. You have a guy like Rocky, with a lot of raw talent, riding the pine on a defense that was bad. It just didn't make sense why he wasn't getting more playing time. Rocky, Vilma, Taylor....OH my!!!..
