GridIron26 03-14-2007, 07:56 PM im happy the skins got recognized for something. now lets trade betts before he loses his value :)
Dude.. It would be better for Redskins if we don't trade Betts.. Who is another back-up, Rock? He is good but not enough..
Redskin Rich 03-14-2007, 08:44 PM i love betts, just like the rest of the redskins. but if you are comparing him to tiki barber, i want what your smoking:Smoker:
I ain't gonna tell you... because then you would want some.....
:food-smil
jdlea 03-14-2007, 08:50 PM Have you ever heard of Tiki Barber... since he didn't play much in his early years, he only got better and better.... just look at his last year. Betts is more of a Redskin style runner and has the potential for years of being a great benefit to us.....
:boxing:
Tiki Barber is a far superior back to anything Betts has EVER shown, for one. Two, why does everyone seem to think that Betts is "more of a Skins style runner"? Gibbs doesn't think so or he would start Betts. Portis runs harder, blocks better, fumbles less, and gets in the end zone more. Oh, and he's more durable...and YOUNGER. Betts can't stay healthy and fumbles in HUGE situations. Betts is more patient and ran well through holes you could drive a truck through. I liked the way he produced at the end of the year, but he's nowhere near the runner Portis is and he's not close to Tiki.
jdlea 03-14-2007, 08:53 PM Another thing, Tiki only missed 4 games once in his career, that was his rookie season. Betts has missed 4 games 3 times in 5 years.

Gees... I was just using Tiki as an example of how a RB that is not thrown into the mix right away, can turn out to become great.... remember, Tiki was thought to have way to much of a fumble issue to ever be a dependable back.:argue:

I get the point, but Tiki was amazing his last few years. However, I'm further trying to illustrate the point that I don't believe that Ladell Betts is an every down runner. Fumbling can be fixed, being injury prone usually cannot.

OK, OK.... I get the point... I am :benched:
EARTHQUAKE2689 03-14-2007, 10:26 PM I agree with Quake, what ignorant fool puts a team sporting DeShaun Foster and another team sporting Reuben Droughns on that list.
Also how can the clear cut no. 1, Tomlinson and Turner, not be on that list?
A person who thinks the Giants have a better backfield tandem than the Chargers doesnt watch much football.
exactly what i thought and i will bet money that portis, moss, cooley, and possibly sean taylor will retire a redskin

Quake.... I will bet money two of the four don't do that... what's the stakes???:yeahright

I'll agree with you on Moss, Portis and possibly Cooley. Sean Taylor? I don't know. Remember he did sign a contract for a player drafted 10 to 15 spots below him. 7 years and 18 million was it? I think this guy will break the bank when his contract comes up. Either the 'Skins will pay it or some other team will. That's what has me a little nervous about ST.
