ArtMonkDrillz 04-20-2007, 01:50 PM I know I've heard them before but I can't recall any of their songs or what they sound like so I'm not going to pass judgement on them.
Also, that's cool if you like Creed or whatever, I just can't stand them. I know I like music that a lot of people probably don't like (DMB, Modest Mouse, Arctic Monkeys, etc) but that won't stop me from listening to them any time soon.
For starters, I can't stand Scott Stapp's voice. It sounds like someone is wiping his ass with sandpaper when he sings. The same goes for the guy from Nickleback, IMO. He's trying so hard for that deep Eddie Vedder, Scott Wylen, whatever sounding voice and it just grates on my nerves. (Sorry if I butchered the spelling of those guys' names.)
Second, I think their lyrics are terrible.
Third, Stapp is such a self righteous asshole that even if he didn't sing like his mouth was half full of rocks and his songs weren't so crappy I'd probably still hate him.
That is all...for now.
My thoughts exactly.
I won't lie though, I did like Creed initially when they first came out, but I quickly began to hate them once they became big and it became obvious they were huge posers, especially that extreme douchebag Scott Stapp.
I hate Nickleback too, even though I've probably never heard one of their songs beginning to end. I don't need to to realize just how horrible they are. I remember that one song that started like something along the lines of 'I like your pants around your feet', whenever I heard that one line I just wanted to punch someone square in the face.
SmootSmack 04-20-2007, 01:54 PM I won't lie, I kind of like Bond (and for the record, I liked the music long before I saw what they looked like)

ArtMonkDrillz 04-20-2007, 01:57 PM Matty, I think we had this conversation about a year ago, but I'll say it again: I listen to the radio on my headphones pretty much all day at work and I swear to God i have to throw them off my head AS SOON AS I hear the first couple of notes from the song Photograph.
That is easily the worst popular song in the history of the universe; Stephen Hawkins even proved it in his new astrophysics book.
GhettoDogAllStars 04-20-2007, 01:58 PM Luckily my friend warned me about the fries before hand, so I was able to save a buck by getting the "small" fries.
On Topic: Robert Randolph and The Family Band is a great band to see live. I've seen them open for DMB a couple of times and they were fantastic.
Agreed. Robert Randolph and The Family Band is great. I just saw them at the Wanee Festival, on the Suwanee river in north Florida. What an amazing show. Here's the lineup:
Allman Brothers Band
GOV'T MULE
THE DEREK TRUCKS BAND & SUSAN TEDESCHI
ROBERT RANDOLPH & THE FAMILY BAND
NICKEL CREEK
RUSTED ROOT
KELLER WILLIAMS
THE RADIATORS
SISTER HAZEL
OTEIL & THE PEACEMAKERS
DEVON ALLMAN'S HONEYTRIBE
ROSE HILL DRIVE
SCRAPOMATIC
PHONOGRAPH
BACKYARD TIRE FIRE
BONOBOS CONVERGENCE
I wasn't able to see everyone on the list, but out of the musicians I saw these were the best:
Keller Williams
Gov't Mule
Allman Bros.
Robert Randolph
Riggo44 04-20-2007, 01:59 PM I like all kinds of music. But I would have to say Sublime, Social D, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, 311, Neil Young, The Doors, Circle Jerks, NOFX, Blink, Green Day, Decedents. Are just a few.
As far as rap goes I’m not a huge fan but I do have Snoop, Eminem, NWA, Dr.Dree and the Beastie Boys on my I pod. I'll let them play every now and then.
And you can’t go wrong with a double In & Out cheese Burger animal style with fry’s. Yum!:drink
BDBohnzie 04-20-2007, 02:00 PM My music taste is constantly changing. I'll be listening to Rock one week, Rap the next, Punk the week after that, and Country after that. It's hard to pinpoint favorites. And when you throw the 80s, New Wave and Reggae in, it's gets very confusing.
My favorite song right now is No Control by Pepper.
I'm really into CKY right now. Gym Class Heroes is getting some decent play as well. I'll throw A Tribe Called Quest in here and there. The 30 Seconds to Mars CD is pretty good (A Beautiful Lie).
And while people are entitled to their own opinion, Scott Stapp needs to be shot in the pancreas with armor-piercing ammunition. The new Daughtry song reminds me of earlier Creed. And I'll admit, I own My Own Prison, but I was young and dumb back then. I put Creed in the same light as Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance...
I'm a Modest Mouse fan. The new song Dashboard is really good. Paralyzer by Finger Eleven is good as well.
And Five Guys is the schiznit. Probably the best burger joint out there, with Red Robin a close second.

Ugh... 100% pure crap. I really can't stand FM radio anymore. I'd be lost without my iPod.

ok try and listen to this YouTube - Broken Wings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLaWFQtR4SI)
ArtMonkDrillz 04-20-2007, 02:06 PM I'm too lazy to keep up with my Mp3 player so it's just collecting dust somewhere in my room. Even if I did use it I'd probably just end up listening to the same songs over and over again; so it wouldn't be much different than FM.
